Projecting my anxiety attack I had yesterday onto him. When I get one I usually just shut down and stop expressing stuff so I'm imagining it's similar for him. I do believe in my heart of hearts that Usopp's arm band covers sh scars.

My hc is that after the time skip he stops wearing it bc a) he's no longer hiding the scars he's owning his past and growing and being happier with treatment and stuff and b) he no longer needs to protect that arm from his small slingshot because he's using big giant slingshot.

I hate ppl that keep theorizing that he's gonna die and that he's the most useless Strawhats, AS IF Luffy would let him die, the Strawhats wouldn't be the Strawhats without Usopp.

Orpheus should not turn around to make sure Eurydice gets out of the Underworld alive.

Ace should not turn around because him and Luffy need to escape to make it out of Marineford alive.

Orpheus turns towards Eurydice to make sure she is still following him and thus loses her forever.

Ace turns away from Luffy to protect and prove his love for Whitebeard (and indirectly Luffy) and thus loses them forever (by dying himself)

They both do this to prove their love (romantic / platonic) to both themselves and also their loved ones. Because if they don't defend their loved ones in every way possible, would they even be themselves?

He never wanted anyone else to die for the sake of his vengeance, not his own crew and not another crew either. And because of that he could never genuinely see the Straw Hats as "disposable" in the callous way some people write it where he doesnt care if they live or die. Its the whole reason why his original plan to take down Doflamingo was built on having Kiado do it for him, because even if Doflamingo killed him once he realized what was going on, any allies or crewmates of Law's at the time would not be caught in the crossfire if he could help it.
