When I think of the three genders, I almost think of them as walls - if that makes sense. Omegas, being placed in the innermost wall, alphas being in the second, and betas being placed in the outer third wall. This is ofc, in a metaphorical sense. There are no actual walls separating them like some weird attack on Titan classism bs.

What I'm meaning to say is betas keep the pack in. They keep them together. No pups can stray with betas on duty, omegas in heat stay right in the nest with a beta nearby, aggravated alpha insisting on doing perimeter checks after the den was breached by a stranger - no worries, your betas are here to actually keep them within the perimeter instead of running after the intruder.

And just like any other instinct, this can have drawbacks. A lot of betas are prone to late night wandering and insomnia. Sometimes they herd packmates who are just "busy right now" and "are going to be late for work our other packmate already scented me please let me go". They're quicker to get stressed if someone isn't where they're supposed to be, or have a sudden change in schedule.

Everyone having everything they need, living in our own houses, maybe having a main lodge for whole group activities and community events, holidays, birthday's, just getting to celebrate as a pack.

Growing our own food, in our dirt. People raising animals if they want, sharing it all.

Getting to run around and be free, without worry.

Building forts and dens around the property, having trails we can walk on.

Robert: Omega

Omega Robert has my heart because the idea of him not only having powers, but also fighting his biologic nature while the whole plot plays out is delicious. Plus I can imagine the z team all bringing items to his poorly furnished home to make a nest. Probably took hella suppressants and blockers when he was actively Mecha man but when he got extra broke after his suit was busted his had to stop cold turkey. (Probably giving him one nasty heat)

Flambae: Definitely either a beta or an alpha

If he was an alpha he'd be an alpha who wants to be pushed around by other alphas. His ruts would be awful cause he's already so hot and now it's just amped up by 100. I feel like his pheromones would smell like cinnamon (low-key like red hot gum)

Invisigal: Omega

Definitely an omega who has an *i don't need an alpha" mentality. Finds them awful to be around cause they always wanna boss her around (and take care of her? What the heck). Finds it super comforting to be close to Robert when she finds out he's an omega too. I think she gets extra bitey around her heats so that week she gets sent home a lot to avoid her mouth off to the customers

Waterboy: Alpha

That boy is giving young alpha vibes raised by an omega. He's soft and respectful and doesn't really know what to do with his alpha nature. Once it bubbles up it comes out in possessive and aggressive tendencies (see vending machine scene). Think it would be cute that when he scents someone they would have a visible wet spot on their shirt where he's rubbing his mouth and face against their neck. I think he'd smell like the ocean or early mornings

Prism: Alpha or Beta

Prism being an alpha would be chaotic, almost giving bird energy? She would use her light powers to show off to omegas in hopes of taking one home. Definitely loves to make a performance out of it. I could also see her as a beta because she doesn't have time for all that second gender shit, she's busy being famous

Malevola: Alpha

Need I say why? Her stature and energy scream alpha. I think she'd be nonchalant about it but the second someone comes near her omega? Oh you're done for. Shed also be so handy to have around for heats, you need something for your nest? Shed open a portal and immediately go grab it for you. As a demon though I think she'd have multiple omegas, one not being enough to satisfy her. (Good think poly z team is there for her)

Sonar: Beta

I think it would be funny to have Sonar as a beta. But because of his bat half he acts so much like either an alpha or an omega depending on what time of year it is.

Punch up: Alpha

Punch is definitely an alpha. His often not taken seriously cause of his stature but the z team know how great of an alpha he is. His caring and attentive and always is quick to help you. He would love to give his omega things for their nest and is super protective. Plus because he's so condensed he's the perfect full body heater

Coupe: omega

Coupe is an omega and had history with punch up as her alpha. Now a days she like to stay on and blockers because she feels like her nature gets in the way of her job. That being said I feel like she has very strong heats so even the blockers don't help sometimes. When coupe goes into heat it's all hands on deck because you borderline have to sedate her to get her to lay down in a nest and relax. But when she's down surrounded her packs scent she's down for the count

Golem: Beta

I think since Golem is man made his be technically a beta because he doesn't really have a gender that way. But I can see him constructed to take the force of either an omega or alpha when need be. Can definitely over power an alpha in rut if need be 😉

Blonde blazer: Alpha

As soon as he could, Robbie got his Omega son into some crazy illegal scent blockers that made the poor baby Robert lose all the sweet milky scent all babies have until they're like 5. That's when they start to smell like a mix of their parents, until that develops into their one unique scent when they hit puberty.

But since Robbie never scented his son and all the blockers erased his natural baby smell, Robert basically smelled like nothing, if he didn’t move you could think he was a doll instead of a living baby.

Robbie wanted to get his son into Alpha hormonal treatment or anything that could "fix" the boy soon, but unfortunately, that was too risky to do with a kid so he had to content himself with a scentless kid.

The first time Robert actually began to smell like something, was when Chase began to babysit him.

With no one else in his life to scent him, baby Robert started to smell like the only person who actually held him, Chase was young yet but he knew that he would do anything for that small white kid as if it was his own.

I want the z-team to constantly be asking questions. What do you mean you’re not a beta, Robert? What do you mean you’ve never released your pheromones? What do you mean you’ve never nested? What do you mean you’ve never had a heat? HOW THE FUCK DID YOU NOT OVERDOSE ON ALL THOSE SUPPRESSANTS?!

Bonus points if Robbie and Bobby were alphas, and Robbie isn’t too happy about his son being an omega. Robert internalizes that, like he does everything else his father did to him. He’s grown out of thinking omegas are inherently weak, but he’ll never be able to forget that he’s weak. He’s wrong. But if he doesn’t act like an omega, he’s basically not one, right? He can’t be an alpha, but his father would at least prefer a beta, right?

Robert wouldn't call himself a proper omega, he wasn't one. His scent was almost non existent, his instincts came up in random violent protectiveness instead of whatever nurturing bullshit was described in health journals, how can he support someone when he can't even care after himself? He was never supposed to be reliant on someone else, not according to his father at least. He never learned social cues tied to secondary gender and that was exactly why he had no idea what was happening to Z team.

It started small at first, more evenings among team, at a bar or just for some fast food. Then at least one of them(more likely two) would walk with him back to his apartment, he passed it off as friendly gesture. Then they started to get a bit more handsy towards him, side hugs and occasional selfie from Prism, Sonar draping himself over Robert's back, Mavelova's tail curling around his waist or hand, Golem giving him slightly awkward squeezes when he was sure he wasn't too muddy, Invisigal resting her legs on his lap if they were sitting near enough, Flambae mockingly encouraging him at the gym, staying near if Robert was grabbing something heavier than usual, Punch up joking around or patting his lower back in passing, Coupé announcing her presence instead of sneaking in, Waterboy giving him an awkward hug, Phenomaman squeezing Robert's bones into dust, Mandy tugging him into short hug before the first shifts or when he was leaving for the day.

It felt weird at first but then he started to get used to it. Then food and drinks started showing up on his desk, in his back pack, in his gym bag, Punch up and Coupé even managed to teach Beef to bring food to Robert knowing dispatcher couldn't resist his chubby dog. Then Sonar hacked into a few databases and found when his birthday is. That's how he woke up to half of his apartment being filled with boxes of different sizes, gifts ranging from few stylish rings from Prism to a fucking TV. He tried to convince them to take them back when his shift finally started but no one listened, instead Punch up and Prism managed to sneak a cake on his desk when he walked away to print few reports. Three new boxes appearing on his desk from Mandy, Chase and Royd by the end of the day.

Then weird protectiveness started. At least one member of Z team was near him at all times outside of their patrols. Someone would tug him into the hug and rub against him for a bit before inviting him to join them for lunch like nothing happened. Other Dispatchers looked at him weird the first time it happened before nodding with understanding??? and returning to their screens.

Scent drunk is typically described as a hazy-sleepy state (typically from an omega or pup) after being overwhelmed by the scents around them. Sometimes it's written as a good thing, a haze that people are encouraged to go into when stressed, overstimulated, scared, etc. other times it's discouraged, something that happens when you haven't been exposed to enough scents throughout life, or possibly have something wrong with your scent glands.

Therefore, I raise you scent hangovers. Like after you come out of this drunken fog, you experience hangover-like symptoms. Headaches, nausea/vomiting, dehydration, irritability, feverish... Maybe some heat/rut symptoms if you're of age ? Idk I'm just spit balling fr
