seungcheol: And when was the last time you heard me even mention my family?

seungcheol: I have a wreath. Buy a new one anyway, it's old as shit.

seungcheol: That is the most hideous shirt I have ever seen. Why would you buy that? Why would you let anyone see you in that?

seungcheol: At least order something for me, too. I swear if you spent almost forty bucks on just yourself, I will stuff your body in a closet.

                   “      i      don't      give      a      fuck      about      him     .      ”      speaks      freely      despite      initial      rejection     .      knows      her      enough     ,      to      know      that      she      doesn't      mean      it     .      “      and      if      you      cared     ,      you'd      be      over      there      talking      to      him     .      instead      you're      over      here      ―      with      me     .      ”

            “i'm  over  here  because  he  was  concerned  with  how  you  were  looking  at  us  —  like  you  wanted  to  kill  him  or  something.”  she  points  out,  brows  knitting  together  with  bewilderment.  “and  what  exactly  is  your  big  game  plan  here,  huh  ?  you  get  me  to  tell  you  you're  right  —  and  i'm  not  saying  you  are  —”  she  cuts  in  abruptly,  beating  him  to  the  punch  with  a  raise  index  finger.  “—  then  what  ?  we're  fucking  in  the  bathroom  just  like  old  times  ?”  the  rest  of  her  fingers  raise  to  reveal  her  palm,  pressing  it  against  seven's  chest with  a  gentle  shove,  distance  between  them  added  (  yet  she  doesn't  take  her  hand  off  him  immediately;  allows  herself  the  small  indulgence  ).  “i  don't  do  that  anymore,  sev.  and  i  definitely  don't  do  that  anymore  with  you.”

                   “      i      miss      the      taste      of      your      skin      ...      i      don't      know      where      to      begin     ,      again     .      ”

           “you  can't …  say  that  anymore.”  she  rebukes  him,  albeit  gently;  she  tilts  her  head  ever  so  slightly  in  the  direction  of  the  bar,  where  her  date  —  her  promise  of  moving  on  —  waits  ever  patiently.  “not  with  him  being  right  there.”

“mm and what are you going to do if i say that i do?” brows quirks at the other, goofy smile lacing across lips as the other steps closer. “who cares about the other guys when you have my attention?”

       she’s amused by his bravado, watching the smile across his face with a resigned intrigue. “then i’d say you have to step up your game.” hadley responds, folding her arms across his chest. “i’m not so easily won over, cute as you might be.” she snorts, gaze redirected towards the group of men hanging out across the bonfire. “maybe they’ve got the type of skill i’m looking for.”

it was obvious from swollen eyes that something was wrong — but she wasn’t one to pry in business that wasn’t hers. brows furrows hearing that he’s locked out of his place. “um have you tried calling management to get a spare key?” she offers any source of help, “do you have somewhere to go?”

           “— uh, voicemail, if you can believe it.” three voicemails, actually; each had sounded a little more desperate than the last, but he wasn’t about to admit that to his (pretty ) neighbor. hands come to rub at his face yet again, doing his best to appear more presentable. “i think i could call my friend’s — he’s about a twenty minute train ride away, so i just need to give him a heads up …” he sniffs before sparing her a glance, a sheepish smile. “sorry, i — didn’t mean to bother you or ‘nything if you heard the, um —” he points at his face, still shining with lingering tears, before letting out a half-hearted laugh. “—— um, goodnight, then.”
