This whole bro code thing where if a guy dates his friend’s sister he’s betraying the friend is wild, you would think your sister dating your friend meant you didn’t have to worry because he’s someone you know and trust but it just goes to show how all these bros know one another to be misogynistic and predatory and regularly exhibit that behavior around one another, and it’s all fun and games and bros before hos until somebody hits on somebody’s sister. Like, clearly you are aware that you are all gross to women but that’s okay with you as long as you and your friends are targeting random women and no one is doing the same to your sister or mother? Why do women have to be related to you for it to occur to you to respect them?

After being ridiculed by the announcers, these young women received apologies from FOX Sports and free tickets to an upcoming game. However, the girls - who are all members of Alpha Chi Omega sorority - decided to donate the tickets to a non-profit for domestic violence victims. Alpha Chi Omega’s national philanthropy is domestic violence awareness and October happens to be National Domestic Violence Awareness month, and these girls turned the network’s groveling into a selfless act while drawing attention to a worthy cause. Keep being gorgeous inside and out, ladies!

please take pictures of your friends. take pictures of your friends when they laugh, and when they are happy. And when they are sad, too. Take pictures of them partying, studying, eating, or sleeping in your bed. Take pictures of their new hair color, or new shoes, take pictures of them while they roll their first cigarette, and take pictures of their last, when they quit smoking. take pictures of your friends just being themselves. Tell them they are beautiful all the time you think it. They may dislike these pictures now. but  one day, very very far from this year, they will be thankful

you know how everyone complains about reading The Scarlet Letter in high school? like “this was written a million years ago it doesnt event matter anymore” yeah, well, this is why literature is actually really important. using larger social and cultural threads to enhance your understanding of your own experiences is pretty cool. 

“women r so impossible to understand” maybe because you 1. Refuse to see them as multifaceted people 2. Willfully misinterpret kindness as sexual willingness 3. Willfully ignore displays of disinterest and discomfort
