strangeness and charm

having been on this website since i was 16, i’ve always had a pretty relaxed policy on age restrictions, especially as i don’t really post much or any nsfw content, but i’m 25 now and it’s beginning to feel weird following the personal blogs of people who are under 18 (sideblogs like art blogs I’m fine with). I’m still cool with the occasional message, chatting in group settings like discord, and under 18s following me if they want (like i said, i don’t really post nsfw stuff), I just think I’d like to be mindful about forming close friendships with teens, with me being in my mid-twenties now. I think there are maybe a couple of people I followed without realising their age, so come making the new blog and refollowing I’m going to double check ages and basically if we were in a mutual and suddenly we’re not, it’s probably going to be bc ur under 18 not bc I suddenly hate you! <3 I just feel more comfortable having a policy about it.

(And if we were in a mutual and I haven’t refollowed you, and you’re over 18, I promise it’ll just be because our content interests have grown apart a lot and you can either follow or not follow me and message me anytime if we used to message. <3)
