Every day I get home one of the first things I do is check on this little plant here to make sure it’s growing well. This is the first plant I’ve had since it was just a teeny tiny seedling, so in the plant world (for me at least) that’s it’s basically a newborn. So today I came home to find my plant a little...down..so I immediately scooted it to the spot with the best sunlight. And then it made me think...we should care for ourselves like we care for our plants...nourishing our minds and souls regularly, checking in on ourselves so that we not only recognize when we need better care but we take the steps necessary to ensure our healthy development, and lastly loving, embracing and looking forward to the growth that takes place in the process...we all have delicacies of our own that can wither us quicker than imagined. Life isn’t always easy...every day we face various challenges within ourselves and with things around us. These past three years have led me into a journey that I never expected, giving me some of the best and worst days of my life. Through every monumental moment you have been right by my side patting me on the back, congratulating me or giving me balloons (or chocolate covered almonds 😋) just to enhance the excitement/happiness that I was feeling. If there has ever been a challenge in my life that I thought I was facing alone you are always there remind me of all that I have within me and around me to pull through. Words can’t express how grateful I am for your presence in my life Lola. You try to make a difference in this world in any way that you can . I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t lucky to have you in my life day in and day out.
