My woman is just divinely beautiful. I make sure she knows this 24/7. I think my favorite part about her — physically — are her legs. She’s not tall she’s average height, I’d say.. but her legs are so long and strong and beautifully brown, good god. Being wrapped up in them and kissing them from ankle to pelvic bone, oh.. She likes this. They’re so smooth. Every chance I get I’m feeling up on them… it tickles to her. I admire her legs, shit, her entire body and being. And she walks with such confidence… though it’s taken her some time to feel that way, I’m so glad she does. She struts as though she’s some goddess.. she is to me. And I’ll forever help to keep her feeling that way. Every single inch of her body is ground for exploration, admiration, and respect.

Womanism is for all black women. Not just the ones who went to college and know bell hooks and Audre Lorde by heart. It’s not just for the college educated black women that know big words and know everything about intersectionality. It’s for the black girls who braid hair on the porch. The young black girls who go to the “candy lady’s” house in the hood. The black girl with ADHD and the black girl who’s into cosplay. The black trans girl. The black girl who didn’t graduate from college. The black girl that’s Pagan. The black girl in prison. Shiiitttttt…. I’ve been doing my own taxes online with TaxSlayer for years now. I think they usually charge $14.99 to process the federal, state is free and your bank charges $29.99 automatically to process and deposit electronic tax returns. That’s it. I always get my refund back a few days before Valentine’s Day if I file around the 1st. I will never let anyone process my taxes again for $200+. Fuck that…..

I get my taxes done by an old white lady who always has Fox News on the tv in her office, but she always got a big ass bowl of candy with chocolate that I can eat and she only charge me 60 bucks and I always get some money back.

Ive used Turbotax for the past decade. This was one of my little hustles doing taxes via Turbotax in college. It was a great money maker lol.

I have 401k’s from previous jobs but I currently have a 403b. We are young so you’ll see people advising that we should be investing more. But that’s an issue. In 2008 when the market crashed, people lost everything in their 401k/403b. I lost 60% of mine (which had me sick) and I’ll tell you why. The further away your estimated retirement date the riskier the investments they’ll offer for your plan. There’s the chance of higher returns but then there’s a chance of higher loss. IRA’s (Traditional and Roth) are a great way to add some safety and diversify to your portfolio, lol. People tend not to do them until closer to retirement age but they are great for every age. Under 50yrs old you can contribute up to $5000 a year, over 50 you can contribute $6500 a year. They’re interest gaining accounts and there are tax breaks if you make under a certain amount annually. FDIC insures these types of accts. So your covered up to $250,000 (there are ways to up your FDIC coverage but that would be for another post). Tricky thing with IRA’s is you can have a million spread across different financial institutions but you can only contribute the amounts above. If you exceed the max contributions for the year, there is an IRS penalty. You can start one with as little as $500 and gradually increase to meet that max as your career/pay increase over years. At 59.5yrs you can start receiving payments, which is considered taxable income. With all of that said, lol, I personally do 6% (my employer matches) and then $5000 for IRA.

Does anyone know if there’s usually a minimum annual contribution required for retirement accounts? Thanks!

You typically want to contribute around 7%. I’m doing 10% which is a big jump from 5%. My 401K has grown substantially in less than a year. 

^^^^ also if your company matches any percentage of your 401k contribution you should match the maximum the company will give you (maybe 3%) or try to double that
