There’s a small sigh of relief, the tiniest smile pulling at the corners of his mouth when his elder sister shows no anger towards the action. He’s always so careful about using his the sand around his siblings, mostly due to his own self-consciousness, but as long as they were okay, he was okay.

“I’llbe more careful next time.”

Gaara allows himself to enjoy this softer side of Temari, the gentle and calming, touch of her hand, because he knew she was tough around others. Tough and scary and powerful, and the child considers himself lucky to have such a respected sister. She’s probably off to do something important right now.

“Where are you going?”

“Just a brief meeting with the council.”

She’s smiling brightly at her brother now, her hand resting on his head as she gently ushered him on. She’d take him with her for now, and perhaps after her meeting they could find somewhere to go play. She’d been so busy lately that she hadn’t had much time to spend with the youngest of the Sand Siblings. He’d followed without complaint, his shorter legs working double time to keep up with her long strides.

“Why don’t you come with me, and then when the meeting is done we’ll go play?”

Teal eyes usually hardened to show no emotion softened, her lips curving into a gentle smile. Her hand reached out cautiously, she didn’t want to scare him, and was placed on the crown of his head. Her palm gently ruffled his unruly red hair, her head tilting to the side.

“It’s alright. No harm was done. The vase is fine so you’re not in trouble.”
