Sonic Boom season except its a mild reference to Tangled in that Silver is freshly introduced as a psychic with amnesia who considers Mephiles a father/brother figure. Mephiles was introduced before him as this new Villain of the Week who actually packs a punch and has demonstrated time travel powers. He's an incredibly jarring edition to the Sonic Boom formula because he's like Actually Scary and tries to kill the cast regularly and unironically. (The cast still crack jokes about him, though. Memphis nickname canon.) Silver, too, seems to take himself too seriously, but he has more honor than Mephiles and will help the main cast if he thinks it's the right thing to do.
Flash forward half the season, Silver and Sonic end up working together for a bit and actually hit it off. Silver keeps saying things about how Sonic seems familiar in ways he can't articulate. He feels like Sonic should be shorter, and that something about his fur bothers him. Sonic thinks it's annoying but he likes him anyway. He thinks Silver is charming and refreshingly genuine in a world where everyone seems to find everything a joke.
Eventually we reach the end of the season, and Silver gets his memory back while everyone is facing off against Mephiles. Turns out he's like. Game Silver. Actual Main Timeline game Silver. And Mephiles is Actual Mainline Mephiles. Silver was used by Mephiles as a time travel conduit while the dude was trying to get out of White Space and broke into the Sonic Boom dimension. Silver lost his memory, so Mephiles kept him around.
Also much more blatant Tangled reference: Mephiles stabs Sonic ala Sonic 06 and Silver gets to use his psychokinesis in creative ways to heal him.
Mainline Game Silver hops back over to his own dimension of course, but the Sonic Boom version of Silver eventually shows up in the next season, in all his silly and Sonic-Boom-y fashion, and is incredibly off-put about how everyone Already Knows who he is 😂
