what I imagine the AoT men would smell like

OKAY so firstly, we're just gonna ignore that the only one bathing regularly in canon is Levi. But apart from that, I imagine the men in AoT would smell like...

Levi would smell clean, with hints of soap and tea, specifically black. I also imagine he'd have some kind of musky, earthy scent clinging to him. Something distinctly masculine that makes you go soft in the knees by his close proximity alone (yes, I like this man a lot sorry not sorry). If we're talking canon Levi, he'd also smell faintly of metal and gunpowder, testimony to his time in the military.

Erwin would smell sooo sophisticated lmao. Like silk, very expensive cologne, some fancy-ass musk like sandalwood or cedar wood or whatever you call it. Maybe, he'd also smell of parchment – sweet, a mix between almonds and fresh sawdust – if we're talking canon, because I imagine him spending a lot of time pouring over reports and documents.

Eren would smell like mint. I don't know why, I just feel like he would. And rain. Maybe like grassy fields or a spring meadow just after rainfall. Fresh, somehow. Fratboy!Eren would also smell like too much deo or too much cheap cologne. Yeah, he'd just smell, like, too much, which is a shame really, since his natural scent is so nice.

Armin would smell soft. And mild. Like cotton, maybe even cashmere. He'd also have that faint scent of books clinging to him – sweet and earthy. Like, the same smell that hits you every time you step foot into a bookstore (I just love that scent, it makes me feel so safe and loved for some reason).

Jean would smell like aftershave and leather, the latter from ODM belt straps and his worn boots. Maybe, he'd give off a hint of apple pie or home cooked meals, especially after returning from a visit home. And beneath all that, there'd be this distinct scent that's uniquely him – like sunlight and comfort and warmth.

Connie would smell light and refreshing. Of coarse soap and grass and very light musk. A modern AU Connie would definitely smell like deodorant and boyish youth. Maybe also with a hint of fake leather and the sharp sting of new plastic, because I imagine he'd be a gamer who really cared about his gaming equipment. Sorry if this sounds silly, I'm not the hugest Connie person so I might get this totally wrong...

Reiner would smell faintly of soap, but also a bit of musk and sweat. In canon because he's dealing with a ton of anxiety, in a modern AU because he'd be a jock training 24/7. In canon, I also think he'd smell exotic. Spicy, almost, because I imagine they'd have a ton of spices in Marley, both locally grown and imported, which they've never seen on Paradis. Spices like cinnamon, saffron, chilli peppers…
