Fictober Day 7 - Anniversary
Warnings - Possible ooc, I've never written for these three before. No real ending.
Summary - It's bee a year since you and your best friends started out on your journey in a van too small for all four of you. Jerry thinks it's cause for a celebration.
Notes - TFTGS x reader?! Is there even people who would read this? Who cares. Self indulgent fan fiction is my specialty.
You'd woken up in the back of the van far earlier than you would have wished. You four hadn't been able to find a proper place to sleep the night before, so you'd all slept in the back of the van. Well, except for Jack, you was awake and trying to squish himself into a corner as to not touch either you or Jerry, and Rosa who had slept in the front seat. And Jerry, apparently, who was strangely missing. You had to wonder if you and Rosa were the only ones who actually slept at all.
You let Jack know you were awake, and climb out of the back. You walk around front to check on Rosa, and find Jerry pestering her to let him drive them somewhere.
"Jerry, last time we let you drive us anywhere you wanted to go, we ended up in a collage bar with what I'm pretty sure were people who wanted to kill us."
"I think they we're vampires, actually."
"Like that's any better??"
You laugh, and the duo finally notices you.
"Oh Hey!" Jerry greets. "Finally awake?"
"Jerry. It's like… 5 in the morning." You sigh.
"Honestly man? That's way late. Come on, I'm driving us somewhere."
"No Jerry, you are not-" Rosa tries to protest before Jerry slips into the drivers seat.
"You know Jack is still in the back, right?" You tell him, climbing into the front and securing yourself in.
"He'll be fine." Jerry grins, starting the car.
After partaking in Jerry's fun little 'adventure', you're covered in green goo and drywall. Don't ask. Rosa is mildly annoyed, but quite pleased with being right. Jack is changing, and Jerry insists- despite your lack of money and disgusting goo covered selves -that you all go to a local diner.
"Jerry. I don't think any of us want to go anywhere right now." Jack tells him, currently trying to assist you in cleaning your hair in a creek. He's just pouring cups of water on your head, but it is in fact helping.
Jerry insists further and you all finally cave. You end up at not a local diner, but a Denny's.
After setting into a booth, Rosa finally asks what you'd all been thinking. "Jerry, why have you been dragging us around all day?"
"Wha'd you meam?" He asks, his mouth full of pancakes.
"Just… all day." You add "You've been making us go places."
"Do you know what day it is?" Jerry asks, finally swallowing.
"It's been a year since we left, y'know?"
Silence. No, you guys hadn't really been keeping track.
"Just figured it'd be fun to celebrate."
"…I guess it has been kinda fun." You respond. "Just… minus the getting covered in goo part."
