ALL trolls canonically are BOTH related and not related at the same time even if they have different placements in the hemospectrum, and the trolls do not treat or recognize their ancestors as being someone who is their family, they just see them as someone who was closest to their caste in the very distant past, basically a near close genetic clone, as colonies of bugs will regularly cycle the same genes once the ones with those genes die, and as such they either strive to avoid being like them or to be just like them to fit into their role in the hierarchy or to be better/worse than them.
