âThis is a closed rehearsal,â Josieâs words were short and blunt as she turned to face her company in the music room, her senses just as heightened as her stress level was as she abruptly stopped singing once she heard the ever so slight sound of their footsteps. âIf you need something, make it quick,â she added, her eyes narrowed. As much of an attitude as she could have, she wasnât usually so short with people. But, as always, this was what happened to her as soon as her father came into town for one of his rare visits.
Nathan was going into the music room to speak to Julian about some matters with a mutual student. He was greeted by way of pure disrespect and attitude. He turned to see who it was coming from. He was surprised to see the source. Josephine McCoy was normally such a sweet girl.
âYou might want to watch your tone and language, Miss. McCoy.â He looked around seeing that Julian wasnât currently there. âI was just looking for Mr. Baker. Do you know when heâll be back?â
