The Romantic

She waved both hands excitedly, proud of that little title. Her smile didn’t last long, when Charlie revealed what was going on. “That’s…unusual” she tilted her head in confusion. She picked up a fork, but didn’t  grab a piece of pie, still going over Charlie’s words again. “Just doesn’t make sense” her eyebrows furrowed, pointing the fork at her friend before speaking. “You guys will make up, right? I bet it’s something silly. Tensions are high, with all the wedding planning and stuff–” she swallowed, taking a tentative glance at Charlie.

“Sure, sure,” Mason nonchalantly agreed, “A set up.” He rolled his eyes right back at his best friend and shrugged at the obvious glare but listening to him and Charlie try to one up each other about getting attention from this woman made him deadpan. “Seriously? Both of you–who need I remind are matched with people–are now competing about this woman flirting with you both? She’s like a damn vortex with you guys, I swear.” He shook his head. “I’m going to go shower, you’re both ridiculous.” Pushing a hand dismissively towards them both, the singer started to make his way to the door before he could get recognized by anyone in the class, or have this Bambi/Amanda woman ignore his remarks about Marcus and try to make a pass at him too. @charlie-bee​

Damien nodded. “Of course. We could go back to my place. Or we can go get something to eat. My treat.” He wracked his mind for anywhere that would still be open at that time. “I’m not leaving you, I promise.”

She smiled softly in his direction,grateful for his presence and glad that he was willing to push through the current event and do something else. “I know. That’s why I think you’re so great, Dami. Um...” She took her hand back to start her engine. “We can grab a slice, maybe order a pie and bring it back to your apartment?”
