About Canadas corrupt mental health system and more:

One of my bigger projects so far this semester. Had to design money with a topic based around money. I chose Canada’s corrupt and broken mental health system. Theres articles around it as well. Heres one> http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/national/time-to-bolster-canadas-chronically-under-funded-mental-health-system-advocates/article31586540/ Basically people falling between the cracks of the system and due to the lack of funding and lack of treatment and nonsense people are left to suffer with their inner demons and mental illness’. I have friends and personal experience with our shitty mental health system (suck my ass CAMH). It took me about 5 months just to wait for an appointment then they told me that the line up for therapy was about a year long waiting list. The psychiatrist, 2 months later,  then claimed to both me and my counsellor that he has no recollection of seeing me and i basically didn't exist in files, waist of my fucking time. My counsellor thought he was nuts. He kept asking for my name even though it was written on the consent form 3 times and he even said in the message he received the consent form. Did you get your fucking degree off wikipedia? No wonder people just kill themselves, by the time they get help its too late. Only time people get help right away is if its an emergency (suicide and such) That doesn't help much because we need the prevention from that happening in the first place but since our health system likes to fuck around so much they won't help you until its too late. Should've stepped in earlier.

 I remember i had a girl who was travelling from Australia (i met her at a Pride event) and she commented on how we have so many homeless people....The unfortunate people who fall between the cracks of the system. Most of our homeless population has an over representation of minority groups in it (lgbtq, aboriginals, women, other ethnic groups etc) these groups of people are also at higher risks of substance abuse, decline in mental health, and suicide risk. To further add onto that a big case not too long ago in Attawapiskat where“ The community, on James Bay in remote northern Ontario, declared a state of emergency a week ago after 11 of its members attempted suicide in one weekend and 28 tried to do so in March. just this never ending cycle of one thing leading to another.”http://www.cbc.ca/news/indigenous/attawapiskat-youth-attempt-suicide-1.3539564

At our wannabe time square in Toronto (young and dundas in front of the eaton centre) a homeless girl showed me this hidden church tucked away behind tall buildings and away from the busy streets. In front of it had a billboard of some sort with a list of homeless people who have died on the street, many of which were unknown people named John and Jane Doe. 

She told me the youngest person to die homeless on the streets was a 12 year old boy. I’ll never forget how she told me that Toronto was a soulless city. Get your shit together North America.

Im going off to much and getting of topic

The middle design my teacher rejected and said he wanted me to try something a little different along the same lines so i worked on that to the bottom design. Still could work on it though with different views of the faces maybe (front view, 3/4 view and a profile view maybe) He liked the bottom design better.
