I NEED to discuss how the deep is lowkey a breath of fresh air when it comes to how rapists and men in general are treated in media I KNOW THIS SOUNDS A BIT INSANE BUT I SWEAR ITS NOT LIKE THAT

Obviously there's still bunch of sexism in general and all kinds of other things seriously wrong with the show plus fucking eric kripke BUT its genuinely SO FUCKIN REFRESHING how we have a rapist and a misogynist who immediately after doing it is just constantly becomes punished, ridiculed and humiliated for it over and over again. Usually we would just have to witness him humiliating and dominating all the women around him endlessly for obvious fetish content and shock value (LIKE FUCKIN EUPHORIA) (also i might be forgetting so so much about the show don't kill me🩷 and yes i know the show literally is nothing but shock value🩷) aka just be genuinely uncomfortable or pissed and distressed for the women around him but personally when i see him on screen he's just so fucking pathetic and fails to have any fucking power over anybody that when he tries to do anything its just hilarious like watching a fuckin Chihuahua or a wet rat try to be intimidating. Genuinely the only moment i remember is when after the capybara joke he genuinely scares Ashley and yeah i was pissed but unfortunately it makes sense he literally has superpowers and Ashley didn't so lowkey it wasn't even about gender at all. But otherwise its genuinely so fuckin satisfying watching him receive zero fucking respect and for the most part zero fear from women.
