Hobby Lobby tempera paint is surprisingly good, especially their “sparkle” (metallic) colors.

I stopped buying paint in bottles like this years ago because I felt like I painted better with “nicer” artist quality paints, and maybe it was a placebo effect because my painting did improve but many artists I love and respect use craft paint and lately I miss it. Also maybe they don’t stand the tesr of time and I think too much about eternity? It’s totally a thing with no right answer, lately ive been drawn to them again and really enjoying these varieties.

These are my favorite oil pastels. They’re very old though, I wonder if newer ones will be as good?
