I know you aren't perfect, and that is not my point, I just want you to be encouraged and see yourself the way I see you, the way your friends see you. One day, you will be able to fall in love with a girl who sees the good qualities in you, and I hope whoever that very blessed girl is that she will remind you of the good work the Lord has started in you and will according to His grest promises bring into completion.

The idea of being made in God’s image is a directional not a structural idea in that we are to form a culture in terms of the will and the purpose of God, that is how we reflect Him in a way that no other creature can because we are Christ’s image-bearers. So we can either reflect God faithfully or not reflect Him at all. Either we worship the creator or the creation, to worship creation is essentially idolatry and the cultural result is decay.
