I feel like people think I don't like Astarion as much because I don't rizz him up every playthrough lol but like I wanna replay my original playthrough and I want it to feel fresh. I don't think either way is more or less valid, I just feel like the odd one out in not continuously romancing my faves. Like it almost feels wrong for him to be with anyone besides my first character LOL

Same with Karlach! I've wanted to romance her SO BAD since I bought the game but I just haven't found what feels like the "right" character for her.

and then there's Gale, who I have like three different romance ideas for him I wanna do lol he just fits with anyone.

Cause some of my favourite posts are like a series of rough sketches/sketch dumps but whenever I do them I feel like they're ugly or not polished enough lol

it's the Dekarios clan! Gale is a girldad™ and no, I am not taking questions. This is Gale and Seiya (my wood half-elf monk Tav) and their spawn, Hana (oldest) and Jin (youngest).

Hana is responsible, sweet, calm, curious and wants to follow in her fathers footsteps in illusionary wizardry.

Jin is chaotic, temperamental, hyperactive, destructive but sensitive - they learn at a very young age that she is likely a sorcerer of the wild magic variety...

(This Gale didn't bother with the crown so he still has the orb (though stabilized) but regardless if it's gone or not, I feel like it'd have SOME lasting effects on the body & perhaps it manifested in come chaos magic lol)

Hey I'm a basic bitch who loves him as well and for my own personal reasons, just like everyone and their mother for the most part lol

But why are individual fans I meet just so desperate to prove that THEY like him the most??? This gatekeeping and competitiveness is sooo bizarre & I cannot wrap my head around it. It's certainly not the first time I've seen it but idk if I've ever experienced it so intensely first hand.

Half the time I have a conversation about him with another fan, it feels less like "Oh hey we like the same character, cool!" and more like a competition with things like "Oh, you did THAT with him?", or "I could NEVER do that to Astarion".

I was unsure whether I'd share this online but I had made it specifically to get signed by Neil Newbon this last weekend!

I was so nervous since the last time I ever went to get an autograph at an expo was over 10 years ago and it was NOT a positive experience :'0 - Even though, before then, I had two good experiences with actors, it takes one burn to keep you away forever.

BUT as it turns out, the rumours are true, Neil is super sweet and kind (AND TALL OML (or i'm just rly short)) - I'm glad I did it! If you get the chance and want to meet him, do it, he's swell.

Also, I told him how when I went to pick up my prints, the girl working the desk had asked me "is this goosetarion?.." and his response was "That's FUCKED" HAh
