I’ve watched the odyssey today, and while it’s not 100% perfect, I approve it.

I think you should not watch it as an odyssey adaptation, but more like a standalone,

I think it’s so embarrassing how many people hate on Elliot Page for being cast as Achilles. Probably people who know NOTHING about Greek mythology.

Achilles wasn’t a Brad Pitt.

He was a teenager when the Trojan war began.

He was probably gay for Patroclus. And in that relationship he surely wasn’t the Top.

He was pretty.

So as someone who’s been obsessed with the Iliad and the Odyssey since I can remember, Elliot is a good cast. Okay maybe he isn’t blond, but literally cry about it.

Also Lupita Nyong'o being cast as Helen. This woman is so beautiful.

I have seen so many comments calling her ugly. That’s so disgusting. Especially since many said she can’t be Helen because of her skin colour.

Just saying: Tom Holland isn’t Greek, Matt Damon isn’t Greek, Anne Hathaway isn’t Greek.

This logic only works if we cast only Greek people. And Turkish people since Troy was supposed to be located somewhere in Turkey. And as far as I know Odysseus did travel to Turnesia when he met the Lotus Eaters. And Italy… oh well…

I never wanted a movie about the Odyssey to happen, but now we get one and sure there will probably be a lot to criticise, but I won’t tolerate any racist or transphobe comments about the cast.

BTW yes Zendaya can play Athena, because she a goddess and can choose any form she wants. And if that is a person of colour, then that’s valid :P

Oh and ANOTHER THING! Elliot Page isn’t even playing Achilles. Actually I have not seen anyone who was officially cast as Achilles at all.

Which makes sense. Because Achilles was already fucking dead when odyssey starts. He dies before Ody even had the idea to build the horse.

So there is literally no reason for him to even appear.

Another thing that pissed me off, is calling everything "historically incorrect".

Like dude. That did not happen. It’s a myth.

BUT it’s not fantasy. I heard some people call it that. The Greek myths are based on Hellenism. Which is a religion. And yes I know. That kind of got lost over time, but I believe we should remember where a story came from, before we criticise an adaptation.

As I said I have a performance soon and I’m only in four songs, so there’s A LOT OF waiting. Yesterday I had the very random thought about writing Sherlock Holmes Musical. Like A Study in Scarlet or some other case as a musical. I have written songs before. Just not musical ones. Also I can only play the guitar. But I’m actually really tempted to try.

I’d probably also include things miss in other adaptions. Like johnlock hehe

It’s been a while, but I actually wrote one song. Without a case or anything in mind, but it would be Sherlock’s.

Has anyone a case that would work well? I thought about a study in scarlet. But that’s kind of basic. And I want Johnlock to happen in some form. So I need space for that too.

I also haven’t really decided if I want a Victorian Sherlock or modern. Modern would probably make it a little easier for me.

So I’m playing tomodachi life, and of course I had to put Sherlock and John on my island. They’re married and had a child yesterday. I named her Rosie because of course I did. Then I felt bad because I didn’t have Mary on my island. I created her, and then I felt bad because she’s Rosie’s mother and I can’t just not make Mary her mother, but Rosie obviously already had Sherlock and John as her dads. I don’t know if that will work in game, but Mary is now Rosie’s mother and Sherlock and John are her fathers.

About four months ago, I finally saw all time low again after three years.

Maybe this is delusional of me, but at some point I felt like Alex just straight up stared at me. Like directly. I would think he just looked into the general direction where I stood, but I made like a "Whoo!" (because Wohoo concert), and he mouthed Whoo back and nodded like: "Yes my child. Whoo.".

Afterwards I told my best friend that and they also felt like he looked at them/us.

I don’t really talked to anyone about this because to me it’s giving: "I’m special! Alex Gaskarth looked into my general direction and may or may not have looked at me"

I’ve been rereading all the Tintin comics for the last week (I last read them over five years ago) and I just found out that TintinxCaptain Haddock is a thing. And while I barely judge shippings, I feel so weird about this one. Maybe because I always thought Tintin is like fifteen, plus the captain totally reminds me of me dad. And I can’t ship my dad with anyone. QwQ

I see them more like father and son…

I‘m going to completely crash out. Kontext: I'm having a performance soon. Nice. I’m going to an all time low concert sooner. Even nicer. Problem: Sooner means a day before the first performance. Not so nice. Bigger problem: they just randomly announced we‘ll have a really long practice day the day before the performance. Okay. What they mean by it: 10 a.m to 10 p.m. The all time low concert starts 7 p.m. I would’ve been late anyway because originally we’d have practiced till 7 p.m.

I just asked my dad to pick me up and drive me there. So I’ll just miss the pre act.

But now?

I haven’t been able to see ATL in three fucking years. If I don’t see them, my mental state would just completely crash.

Now I’m trying to find an excuse why I just can’t stay till 10 p.m

This sounds incredibly stupid, but like thirty minutes ago my dad brought me something. Normally I hug him for goodbye, but for some stupid reason, I didn’t do that. Now I feel bad. What if my dad wanted a hug? Normally I always hug him because *I* want to. I initiate the hugs.

But I feel bad. Because I think he wanted to hug me. Or at least kind of waited for it. I don’t know.
