Here is my brand new challenge! I hope that you will all enjoy taking part in this challenge <3
â¨â¨â¨
Info
This challenge will begin on the 1st October 2020 and will run for the entire month
HOWEVER! My plan for this challenge is also that it can be done at any time (like the 100 days of productivity challenge for example), so although it will be officially starting then (and that is when I will be doing it) you can start it at any time
There are 31 prompts - one for each day of the month
If you do the challenge, use the tag #studyblr community challenge so i can track the posts and see what you are all posting (and so others can see as well!)
Days 1 -14 are essentially a way to introduce yourself to the community and to find out about the person behind the blog!
Days 15 -28 are what really excite me about this challenge! Essentially, my initial idea was to do an âappreciation challengeâ and so these days are essentially this idea within the larger challenge. It is an opportunity to tag studyblrs that you love and let them know that you appreciate themÂ
The final three days of the challenge are about reflection and looking at yourself positively. Â
â¨â¨â¨
Aims
As the name suggests, I want this challenge to be about communityÂ
Studyblr has personally helped me so much and Iâve met some incredible people and I thought this challenge would be a good way to bring the community closerÂ
When I was creating this challenge, I tried to keep in mind new studyblrs. I think that it is a good way of introducing yourself and getting involved in the community, as well as having things to post, if you have just started! It could also be a good way for people to find your blog!
That said, if you have been in studyblr for a while (for example, like me!), this challenge is definitely still for you! I think it will be a good way for your followers to find out more about you and to discover some new blogs!
Overall, I hope that this challenge will promote positivity, appreciation and productivity
â¨â¨â¨
Rules
If you want to do this challenge, please reblog this post
There are daily prompts for 31 days but challenges should never be a burden so you can post as frequently as you like/are able toÂ
When tagging, please do not spam people. Tag someone different for each day so we can share the love.Â
I would suggest only tagging 1 person for each of the days but I understand that it could be a hard choice for some days. Therefore, I would say that a maximum of 3 people can be tagged for each of the days.Â
Please be respectful. Some of the prompts are asking about personal opinions and you might disagree, but make sure to remember that everyone has had different experiences and the questions are designed to promote the sharing of ideas.Â
â¨â¨â¨
Prompts
Day 1 - Introduce yourself and tell us what you study!
Day 2 - Explain your studyblr URL!Â
Day 3 - Why did you create your studyblr?
Day 4 - How long have you had a studyblr?
Day 5 - Have you ever done a challenge before?
Day 6 - Why did you decide to do this challenge and what is your goal?
Day 7 - What is your goal for your studyblr for the next few months?
Day 8 - What is the best thing about studyblr in your opinion?
Day 9 - What is the worst thing about studyblr in your opinion?
Day 10 - What is one thing you wished you could change about studyblr?
Day 11 - What is something that you have learnt from studyblr?
Day 12 - How much time do you spend on studyblr per day on average?
Day 13 - Do you have an âaestheticâ? If yes, what is it?
Day 14 - What are some of your study essentials?
Day 15 - Tag someone you look up to
Day 16 - Tag someone who has beautiful handwritingÂ
Day 17 - Tag someone who you think is really kind
Day 18 - Tag someone who makes you think more deeply about things
Day 19 - Tag someone you are grateful to have met
Day 20 - Tag someone who has a lovely aesthetic
Day 21 - Tag someone you think works really hard and deserves appreciation
Day 22 - Tag someone who makes you smile
Day 23 - Tag someone whose blog you always checkÂ
Day 24 - Tag someone who posts the best text posts
Day 25 - Tag someone who gives good advice
Day 26 - Tag someone who you would like to get to know
Day 27 - Tag someone who makes you laughÂ
Day 28 - Tag someone who you think everyone should follow
Day 29 - What are three things that you are proud of?
Day 30 - What are three things about yourself that you love?
Day 31 - What are three things that inspire you?Â
â¨â¨â¨
I really hope you will all get involved and if you have any questions, please feel free to send me an ask!

Oooo bitch ainât this THE MOOD!
since school is starting up again: pirate your textbooks!! my fave for this is library genesis. the most functional extension as of right now is libgen.is but literally whatever works. search by title, or better yet by ISBN to make sure you have the right edition, download...& profit. english majors make sure youâre searching in the right section (fiction will, obviously, have novels & poetry, but the default is sci-tech). i have a more in-depth post here too if you want to share your free texts with your classmates. go ham

good book, good coffee, good bagel: the golden trio
Lo! a ripe sheaf of many golden days Gleaned by the year in autumn's harvest ways, With here and there, blood-tinted as an ember, Some crimson poppy of a late delight Atoning in its splendor for the flight Of summer blooms and joys This is September.

Could really go for a crisp 56 degree October day with fall scented candles burning, wearing my favorite sweatshirt, && cookies baking in the oven right now.
feel like pure shit just want to sit in a coffee shop with an open google doc and not write a single word

my personal take. discuss
can i just say
you can respect and honor ophelia without turning her into someone she isnât.Â
ophelia is not a heroine. she doesnât roll her eyes at hamlet or make jokes behind his back with horatio. she doesnât wear a knowing grin.
ophelia is a young woman controlled by men that represent a larger patriarchal society, one that refuses to let her develop an individual identity, expects her to do so anyway, and then trivializes her ensuing psychotic break as âsad but lovely,â âheartbreaking.â
one that still exists, still refuses to let girls be their own selves and then blames them for being unable to âlean in.â one that says teen girls with depression are just âmoody,â or desperate for attention, that their self-harm is martyrdom and their despair is attractive.
ophelia is not a pretty tragic figurine, but sheâs not secretly empowered either. the work in dismantling societyâs troubling perception of female adolescence is far from finished. pretending ophelia was a strong woman is pretending that the fight is over.
I generally agree, but at the same time, I think Ophelia is actually pretty snarky and critical of the double-standard with her brother Laertesâspecifically the conversation before he goes off to France and he tells her not to be a slutty slut and bang Hamlet âcos heâs going to break her heart and she goes âYeah, what about YOU, brother dearest?â
I shall the effect of this good lesson keep, As watchman to my heart. But, good my brother, Do not, as some ungracious pastors do, Show me the steep and thorny way to heaven; Whiles, like a puffâd and reckless libertine, Himself the primrose path of dalliance treads, And recks not his own rede.
She has a personality and she is an individual, although sheâs not supposed to be. A meek and utterly cowed woman would not call her brother out, however gently, on his hypocrisy.
She is trapped, sheâs not âempoweredâ (whatever that meansâIâm not all that keen on it as something to aim for, because to be empowered requires someone else to give you power, and they can always take it awayâitâs like âpowerfulâ but without any teeth to it), but sheâs also not meek or unaware of the confines of her position in society (if anything, Iâd argue that sheâs very much aware, and that awareness of her confines and how little she can do about them is part of what breaks her in the end).
iâve been doing my homework on how to break into a writing career and honestly. thereâs a Lot that i didnât know about thats critical to a writing career in this day and age, and on the one hand, its understandable because weâre experiencing a massive cultural shift, but on the other hand, writers who do not have formal training in school or donât have the connections to learn more via social osmosis end up extremely out of loop and working at a disadvantage.Â
like, i didnt know about twitter pitch parties!! i didnt know about literary agents and publishers tweeting their manuscript wishlist, in hopes that some poor soul out there has written the book they really want to read and publish!! this isnt some shit you learn about in school! you really need to know the ins and outs of the writing community to be successful!Â
for anyone interested, hereâs what iâve learned so far in my quest for more writing knowledge:
1. Writerâs Market 2019 is a great place to startâ it gives you a list of magazines and journals that you can send your work to depending on the genre as well as lists a shit ton of literary agents that specify what genres they represent, how you can get in contact with them and how they accept query letters. this is a book that updates every year and tbh i only bought it this year so i dont know how critical it is to have an updated version Â
2. do your research. mostly on literary agents because if you listed on your site that you like to represent fluffy YA novels and some asshole sends you a 80k manuscript about likeâŚgritty viking culture, you will be severely pissed off. always go in finding someone who you know will actually like your work because theyâre the ones who will try to advocate for you in getting published.
3. learn how to write a query letter. there are slightly varying formulas to how you can write an effective query letter. youâre also going to want to get feedback on your query letter because its the first thing the literary agent will read and based on how well you do it, it could be the difference between them rejecting you outright and giving your manuscript a quick read
4. unfortunately, youâre gonna want to get a twitter. Twitter is where a lot of literary agents are nowadays, and they host things like twitter pitch parties, where you pitch your manuscript in a few sentences and hashtag it with #Pitmad #Pitdark, some version of pit. a lot of literary agents and publishers will ALSO post their manuscript wishlists, which is just the kind of books theyâd like to represent/publish, and they hashtag this with #MSWL (it is NOT for writers to use, only for agents/publishers)
5. connect with other writers, literary agents, publishers at book events. you will absolutely need the connections if you want to get ahead as a writer. thats just kind of the state of the world.
