So basically there’s this girl who I really like. We talk almost every day over text and irl. She’s really pretty but idk if she likes me back at all. I do know she’s a lesbian though so there’s another point for me.

So what happened is that we were really good friends last year but the group chat we were in got dry so we stopped texting for like 5 months. Then, randomly one day during rehearsal, even though I’m an actor and she was up in the tech booth, she complimented me on my outfit by TEXTING ME. But she said it in the way of “Ariana this is creepy but, your outfit is so cute! I need a jumpsuit like that.”

I just have a really hard time talking to people who I’m not fully comfortable with and because I’m autistic I tend to stutter a lot and not make eye contact. I also just don’t know how to keep a conversation flowing naturally and keep it interesting with people who I’m not fully comfortable around. (Really the only reason why she makes me uncomfortable is because I like her.) We have a TON of similar interests. We both love Wes Anderson movies, Brokeback Mountain, but I’m a cheerleader, dad rock, the whole twee aesthetic, and more. I just don’t know how to be “nonchalant” about stuff when I feel like whenever I talk I get way to bubbly and invested way too fast in whatever the topic is.
