Yep, that's a Hoyt Gold Metalist you're looking at. It's no contest, she's a dinosaur. She's not sexy, like, say, an SF Forged +, and she's not of the greatest design, like, say, a Samick Mizar, but she's a classic. And she has a history. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY -- she's a fairly inexpensive hand-me-down, and boy-oh-boy she's mine. Sadly, she didn't come with any guarantees to be shootable, but nothing too egregous noticed as of yet (like cracks or flaws in the frame, total stripping of the bolt holes, etc.). Just gotta get me a string and some limbs, and I'll be trying my baby out soon enough (AND NO MORE PESKY RENTAL FEES THANK GOD).
