she   glances   down,   watches   the   gun   that   he   has   pointed   her   direction,   but   she   doesn't   flinch   at   his   demands.   instead,   his   words   seem   to   fuel   her   with   a   sense   of   confidence   as   her   gaze   slowly   rises   back   up   to   his   face.   she   raises   her   hands   at   her   sides   briefly   in   mock   surrender                   her   own   weapon   stashed   out   of   view   for   the   time   being.

due   to   the   eden   club’s   policy   of   wiping   its   androids   memories   every   2   hours,   north   doesn't   have   fully   intact   memories   from   the   night   before   she   became   deviant.   in   her   own   words           she   didn't   know   why   she   couldn't   take   it   anymore   the   night   that   she   finally   snapped,   but   she   knew   that   she   couldn't.   i   like   to   think   that   these   memories   are   initially   stored   away   on   an   internal   drive,   becoming   blurry   segments   over   time   that   become   harder   to   access,   corrupted   from   all   of   the   rewrites.   the   deleted   and   rewritten   memories   became   more   like   a   gut   feeling,   something   she   didn't   recognize   in   her   as   it   built   up   until   finally   she   woke   up   all   together.
