Because they’re like family and they would never think of each other in that way, so Yona feels comfortable being in whatever state of undress around him and Zeno would never even register it as concern! He’s been around for a thousand years at this point too so like. Yona is his very tiny kid sister. a baby. But still, most fiction wouldn’t even acknowledge Zeno would feel that way. There’s this whole “GUYS AND GIRLS CAN’T BE FRIENDS” vibe in a lot of shoujo and similar fiction and that whole scene nicely acts as a counterpoint.

In general, I like how despite Yona having reverse harem vibes with her loyal army of pretty boys and all, it’s pretty obvious from the moment Yona meets Yun, Zeno and Shin-ah they’re just friends and that all they’ll ever be. There at least isn’t an element of attraction in EVERY relationship Yona has with a guy. And how Kija and Jae-ha’s crushes on her just kinda faded without too much drama or tragic love triangle nonsense is nice too. Jae-ha angsted privately a little but pretty quickly accepted Hak and Yona were a thing and supported them with little fanfare and he really seems completely over it now.

Kija’s crush was kinda just there for comedy, it seemed to fade as he got more comfortable with the group. Honestly, the vibe i get is it was more a result of him being sheltered than genuine feelings. He grew up in an isolated environment, never really interacting with girls in his age range. Yona’s really the first girl he ever hung out with, which would make him feel a little weird and nervous and on top of that he feels an intense past life bond with her and really cares about her and admires her. As someone new to really socializing at all (but still constantly told by his grandmother he needs to see girls as potential wives), of course navigating those feelings would be hard to deal with and it’s easy for them to be amplified and mixed up for a while. Now he’s really settled into just being a part of her friendfamily.

and while not naked but in the previous chapters there is a scene with Yona is just a tube top and skirt dancing in a bar. and she feels totally ok not only dressing so scandalously infront of her group but also confident that they’ll be watching out or her from any of the men in the bar itself.
