I love when people try to make the argument that anime is just "regular Japanese media" and calling the industry fetishistic or racist or misogynistic is racist in and of itself... like first of all Japanese people don't even watch the majority of anime in the world, nor do Japanese studios produce the majority of it... it's outsourced to SK, Philippines, and China... whoa, why do you think that might be? Where have you heard these countries in relation to Japan before?
