1. Surfin' Boy - very mesmerizing verses, gorgeous harmonies, and then we got the bossa nova type chorus feel, squints eyes to see where the Alcohol Free enjoyers at 🌊 while the song is short (definitely should've been longer obviously, listening to lots of Brandy she's allergic to not having songs at 4-5 mins on her albums) it didn't feel noticeably short. The song paced well 💖
2. Hot Girls Cold Vibe - huh. Perhaps this is one of those songs I just don't get. The change ups are so odd. I know these girls have the quirky music but perhaps we leave the change ups of this level to the professionals...the bridge with trumpets was super pretty tho! RV allergic to not having pretty bridges! 🌉
3. Orchestra - I've been on a Brandy/S.E.S. kick the past few weeks and this was beautiful. Smooth R&B with a pretty strings section. Elegant 💕 dangerous 💕 Korean Korean Korean Melody 💕 so perfect. They really are the great great granddaughters of S.E.S. 💖
4. Hula Hoop - Loona shade? 👀 Short and sweet. Nothing to remarkable. Really irritated over the short song pandemic so therefore not much positive things to say aside from get back in the studio girlies 💖
5. Hawaii - oooooo I love Colbie Caillat! (I only know the four songs but one of them has that hand claps and guitar 👏). Well this is much more smoother than her kumbayah sunshine music, love the eerie vocal harmonies, really breezy song. I'm not immune to some good boom clap music 💖
Was it worth the wait? To some yes, to others no, to me 🤔 ehh it was fine. It's just difficult to care when the songs are so short... And the longest song off the album didn't like either 😔 RV do have long songs like Cosmic and You Better Know !!!! Ugh I love that song so much... So yeah short songs, they're cute, MV was neat.
