#to avoid paying benefits they rely on traveling nurses as basically full-time staff year around #the staff who DO get benefits will be paid like 50% less than traveling nurses and are burdened with weird hours #and constant onboarding because the shit hospital system cant retain regular or temp staff #so literally everyone is being fucked over because hospitals refuse to pay proper benefits and manage hours in a healthy way for staff #the hospital my friend works at said they cant hire new fulltime local staff #because the “traveling nurses cost so much”#literally blaming it on the people that they contract hire part-time so they can avoid paying healthcare to a job that is at constant risk
