I was at a sleepover when I was like 15 one time and we were talking about the Uncle Scrooge/Donald duck comics verses DC and Marvel comics and team Marvel/DC was trying to argue that they were more hardcore serous about death until someone pointed out that there are canonical deaths in the duck comics and those characters? they stay dead. forever.

You are exactly right. I have some old DIY books that are REALLY casual about things like “here’s a one-page tutorial on how to knock out part of your foundation to add a cellar door!” “Here’s how to run a 100 amp subpanel yourself!” And i’m like cool! How did anyone survive the seventies!
