The static tells them what to do, where to go, and what to buy. They look at it all day - it's a distraction, and an easy escape from social obligations. It makes them happy, they think, as they search for what they're missing.

This is how I feel about the current state of the United States. I am frustrated with the current American culture, that seems obsessed with violence, and perhaps more deeply: hatred. Hate is a powerful emotion, seemingly more powerful than love. In particular, online hate speech is giving fuel to the fire. I am just tired. Please everyone, love more and hate less.

And now I finally have all the time in the world. Nothing but me and my things - nothing but thoughts, memories, and things. No more sounds in the house, no voices, no loud steps, no phone ringing - just the ticking of my clock, counting the hours away. Hours, days, weeks, months, years. The clock keeps ticking, and I have all the time in the world.

This is a link to download DVD Decrypter, a fantastic application that allows you to rip DVD movies to a computer. The last ever version is version 3.5.4, from 2005, and this is that version. Unfortunately, development on the application stopped in 2005 and no new updates were ever added. For all the years since, a mirror of the last version has been hosted at dvddecrypter.org.uk. But sadly that page now seems to be gone, too. But I managed to find the .exe and uploaded it to Archive.org, and that is what is linked above. I hope that everyone can continue to rip DVDs and enrage the movie studios. As of 2025 the app works completely in Windows 11.

I often find myself alone at night, and I will walk the streets of the countryside to get some fresh air. I gaze up at the stars and the clouds and wonder if there is anyone else out there, who feels the same way. Their eyes perhaps even gazing up at the same stars. I can only hope that one day me and this person lower our gazes and see each other.

I am working a job that I fucking hate, with people who don't like me, to pay for an education I don't want, to maybe get a job that I will also hate, so that I can find a wife who will probably cheat on me, and we will have kids that she gets custody of, and then I will have to work more at a job I fucking hate to pay child support for the kids I never see. What the fuck.

Loneliness is a feeling that always chases me. I stare at the lights and pretend it's a face.
