late night thoughts

my speech is made up of me telling people that i love them in various secret ways ("do you want me to bring you some apple cider?" etc.) and my thoughts are made up of hoping they'll say it back ("i want to be near you more often" etc.)

and suddenly one day, you're lying awake at 12:13am, looking over at the love of your life asleep in the dim glow of the window light, and you don't know how you got here, but you know you've finally made it.

you ever feel like you're struggling to be conscious in this life? like you're trying so hard to feel the world around you, not just see it and look at things like it's all just a picture? i find it so hard to truly grasp onto and appreciate a moment while i'm in it. it's almost as if appreciation is on another level of consciousness that i know exists, yet can't achieve

i've imagined what my future would look like with many different people, but never has the image been so clear than when it has you in it.

so most of our time is really just spent longing for things that have already happened or that never will happen, huh?

what do you do when you have everything and it still doesn't feel like enough?
