It is truly ridiculous how newcomer to pet ownership get their hands on a "pretty" specimen and decide they have even the mildest chance at wining a pageant.
Fortunately, real exhibitors don't have to suffer their presence for to long. Vetting usually weeds out the upstarts as they often come, not realising that even the smallest defect could warrant disqualification, and are promptly turned away.
Just this morning one such individual even though that covering a bruise with powers would be enough to slip through. . . I can't imagine the gentleman in question will remain for too long.
(P.S., I remember now why I don't personally like chalk. . . Whatever!)
