coincidentally the canvas was the size of a wallpaper so I also made it an option if anyone was interested lol

Celestia thinks herself alone in the aftermath of her confrontation with Fleur De Lis...a habit developed over a thousand moons is a hard habit to break.

Content Warnings: blood, death, injury, violence.

Comic Start

Celestia pants to herself in the dark, steam rolling off of her. Her magic flows uncontrollably from her horns. Her cutie mark radiates from her flank, its glow spreading to the rest of her body.

Celestia, thinking: Ah...this...

Celestia looks around at the wreckage of the college medical facilities. Walls and ceilings have collapsed; various wires and metal rods hanging and twisting out of place.

Celestia, thinking: ...it shouldn't have come to this.

Celestia trembles. She looks down. Her face is wet with both tears and perspiration.

Celestia, thinking: I'm sorry...

On the ground, lies the charred, skeletal remains of Fleur De Lis. Flames smolder in the ashen debris which carpets the ground.

Celestia, thinking: I didn't mean for things...

The flames rise higher as Celestia grows unsteady. She breathes heavily as light radiates through her skull.

SFX: WOBBLE WOBBLE

SFX: Huff huff

Celestia, thinking: ...to ever burn so HOT.

Celestia falls to the ground. Her insides shine with unnatural light.

Celestia, thinking: It's too hot.

Celestia opes her eyes to the sound of a voice calling her name. She wakes beneath an endless sky.

Luna: ...stia..! Celestia..!

Celestia looks up to find Luna emerging from a wall of mist.

Luna: You dream at last.

Celestia looks overjoyed to see her sister.

Celestia: Luna! I've been so worried...!

Celestia embraces Luna, who returns the gesture.

Celestia: Where are you being kept? I'll come and get you—

Luna: I have been with you always.

Celestia looks started at Luna's words. Luna begins to rise above Celestia, her mane forming waves of dark mist that envelops the sky.

Celestia looks on in horror as Luna continues to speak.

Luna: ...Just as you have been for me. So, I will say to you what you once said to me when I lost my way.

Under the cool shroud of darkness, Celestia's true state is revealed. Unbearable heat has begun to degrade her body. Her form is melting away like a waxen statue.

Luna: You must wake up.

Celestia: NO!

Celestia rears back in panic at the extent of her deterioration.

Celestia, thinking: What twisted illusion...Sister, would you truly turn against me at a time like this?

Celestia thinks of her precious student and her friends. The same ones she has come to know so well through Twilight's letters.

Celestia, thinking: I cannot fall back here.

Celestia wakes with a start. The veins around her eyes are burned black, and the flesh is melting away from her skull just as it had been in her dream.

Celestia begins to rise, and sees the figure of a pony approaching through the burning wreckage.

Luna: Oh, sister...

Luna continues forward towards Celestia. Sher wears a remorseful expression, her face shining with tears recently shed.

Luna: ...I never wanted to face you like this again.

Luna breaks into a run to close the distance between herself and Celestia, who rears up to meet her charge.

Luna, thinking: I'm sorry it came to this.
