I love robby, but he is an example of the fact that men will always do something to remind you that they’re men. his repeated dismissal of mckay’s extremely valid concern about david is infuriating to watch. especially when he called it a “thought crime”. like sorry, no, but the second that kid put his thoughts down onto paper, that became a form of action.
I mean he literally wrote down the names of girls he wanted to kill. he didn’t just say they should die (although that would still help concerning), he used the word “eliminate”. that is very intentional language and should automatically be taken seriously.
and for robby to then get all pissy with mckay again after they found out david wasn’t responsible for the pittfest shooting…just absurd. just because he didn’t do that doesn’t mean he isn’t a threat to those girls. I mean really think about that. he took the time to sit down, grab a piece of paper and pen, wrote down all of those girls names, presumably reread it, and then didn’t even bother to hide it.
it’s especially annoying when mckay makes the choice to be vulnerable with robby and expresses her own experience with a misogynistic and presumably violent man, and he still thinks he knows better than her somehow. just goes to show that no one cares enough about women and girls until they’re dead.
