fandom is about the community, you can find helpful forth coming members of the community to beta read your fics so unbelievably easily, you can learn from Incredibly helpful and detailed guides on how to format or even code fics on ao3, you can easily slide into the dms of people who speak the language to ask for help with a quick translation or just to see if you got it right

you create connections, make friends and build said community through that
