Just in case anyone comes over here, I'm NinaKay in Ao3, and this is my Thrawn. His name is Anastásis Roilós, an extremely talented Greek actor.

There is a character in the Greek period drama "Mágissa" called Andrei Sidorov, a Russian-Greek, former Captain of the Tsar's army. He is brilliant, thoughtful, calm, observing, loyal, determined. Did I say calm and composed to his opponents' frustration? THAT is Thrawn. And the actor, 35-year-old Anastásis Roilós, has talent in spades!

The more I watch him in the series, the more Thrawn he is! 😯😲🤩

No matter how good an actor you are, when they slap a hilariously bad make-up job on you, you just look ri-di-cu-lous. For kriff's sake, the people in Disney have woops of money for special effects, but pay not for believable alien make-up for their major characters?? Especially one as loved and long awaited as Thrawn??? Even the animated Rebels payed more attention to the cartoon design of him!!!!

The voice of Lars Mikkelsen is great, but I cannot look at him without snickering. The bubblegum blue paint, the weird red contacts, the bad wig.... this is an afront to Zahn's books and to Thrawn. I bet even a dedicated fan cosplayer with talent for make-up would give a better looking Chiss.

Spock and Thrawn are very much alike, only Spock suppresses his feeling, while Thrawn controls them.

The hood being lifted was the icing on the cake. Oh, my Luke! MY Luke. Not Disney's, OUR LUKE. Jedi MASTER Luke Skywalker. The proper one. It has been 33 years for me, I first saw The Return Of The Jedi in 1987. This is ***my*** Luke. 🙌👏🙌👏🙌👏

Because I have serious issues with the last minutes and I need to vent. Those last minutes screwed up the movie for me. 😣

Did you notice that Sypha's and Trevor's wounds have been treated and bandaged?

Who is the one with medical knowledge among them? Well, Alucard's mother was a doctor, so he must have learned some things from her. He is the resident physician.

I liked it. .... But, I was also disappointed that we got less Alucard, Trevor and Sypha on screen than the baddies. So many scenes to fast forward. 😕

And MAJOR disappontment: no flashbacks of Alucard and Dracula, no scenes to show how those two got along before Lisa was killed. For frak's sake, we got flashbacks of Dracula with Hector (meh) and Isaac (more meh) but not with his son Adrian?? ... shaking head... 😔

Episode 7 though, that fight.... I went "Return Of The Jedi" mode all over again, shouting at Dracula "he's your son, damn you!!!", until , like Vader, he got to his senses. But Alucard was no Luke. Oh boy. And the way he kept it all in, his pain, his guilt, clutching his fists until he broke down all alone.... Poor poor man...

I work at a hospital. I know our coroner, he’s a very friendly man. And... as a fan of Dark, I have this image I cannot shake off.
