Due to the recent Devsisters boycott, (which is a whole other can of worms) Devsisters is now losing money

Basically if this keeps going, devsis will perhaps go bankrupt leading to CROB shutting down.

Devsisters is not at the fault of this; Devsis is expanding their roster with new ideas that they think their fanbase will enjoy. Not to mention, Devsis have already released cookies with differing ethnicities (Peach/Plum, Kumiho, Red Bean, as well as a few others). When a company expands a roster/group of characters with characters based on other races/ethnicities, they're trying to reach out to a wider audience with still maintaining their current fan base. Yogurt Cream is a fantastic representation of Devsis's expansion of ideas that will make Cookie Run more appealing to current and new fans.

Yogurt Cream, while some people have jumped to conclusions to say he's black, is Arab-based. Yogurt Cream is a jinn (genie), but is westernized however due to popular media like Aladdin and shows/novels. While this affects his ethnic portrayal, he still represents Arab culture and folklore in a way that isn't disturbing or negative. As well, his dough color is a well-toned lavender color, a representation of most Arab skintone (with added color to again emphasize the westernization aspect of jinns) How should this affect your experience of the game? There is no reason. Personally I really like Yogurt Cream because being half Arab myself, I love the representation; it makes me feel more accepted within the community and the character draws me in to playing the game more. People are allowed to have their own opinions, but when it crosses into racist remarks, then you're being a jerk.

You know, in fact, Nessa is not sexualized at ALL. I am so tired of seeing this:

The thing most people say is that Nessa’s outfit is too revealing. Well, my question is, why isn’t Misty’s? Or Jessie’s? I mean, there’s even more examples, like Shauna from Hoenn, or Gardenia. What about Shelly’s original design from the R/S games?

Woah! Do you see that? Her top is- is so TIGHT! and her skirt? Oh jeez, and her BOOTS? She’s practically a hooker! this isn’t safe for kids! That was all sarcasm. This is how you sound when you bring up this double standard for Nessa. You know what, let’s just take a look at Nessa vs Jessie right now.

Alright so we see that their tops are… basically the same thing, except for the fact that one is a shirt and the other is, you know, a bikini. for swimming. because she is the water type gym leader. Oh but let’s not forget that she’s showing oh so much SKIN! It’s about the same as Jessie give or take some inches due to the angle of Jessie’s picture vs Nessa’s.

And as I will likely say many more times in this post, Nessa’s top covers her thiddies because she is wearing a bikini. thats what bikinis do. they cover the bare minimum of your body in order for you to legally be in public while also enjoying the water. Should also point out that she’s wearing swimming shorts, so in a way, she’s more covered up than most people who wear bikinis, Misty included.

Finally, for this section of the argument, Shauna, Shelly, and Garden Girl.

Shauna (or Tessa, or whatever), from Hoenn, looks like this:

Pretty revealing clothing, huh? Well what if I told you, this ALSO is not oversexualized? This is an outfit used for the ease of fighting. She is a Battle Girl, a character with no real personality within games, but is an actual character within the anime. Minor, but a character nonetheless.

Now just take a good look at her outfit. Dang, it’s kinda familiar, isn’t it? Oh yeah, that’s because it’s the exact same outfit Nessa wears.

I shouldn’t have to go deeper into this, but I will for just a second.

Garden Girl (Gardenia) she wears a weak ass poncho over her shirt that, even though it’s long sleeved, is not at all a SHIRT. you can see exactly where it ends and, would you look at THAT!

People complain that the entire Gerudo race is oversexualized, never mind the fact that Link can literally go around wearing this 

It’s a traditional Gerudo outfit and yet people were squeeing and thirsting over Link wearing it. 

But pitch a fit about how the other Guredo are oversexualized…

This “fight against the hypersexualization of black women” thing not only has a double standard where lighter skinned characters get a “pass” on “sexual outfits” yet darker skinned characters have to be modified and changed because it’s “too sexual”. If anything, it implies that you (the person doing the redesign and the Wokeness ™ ) thinks of black women as inherently sexual, therefore, they need to cover up because them showing skin is sexualization. 

In this whole “fight against sexualization” all most of y’all end up doing is making harmless shit sexual.

Like if sexualization was a scale of 1 - 10 where “1″ was totally non-sexual and fully covered and “10″ was literal fetish art sexual, y’all are acting like anything that’s above a 3 - 5 on the scale is the same thing as a 10 on the scale… Which ends up sexualizing otherwise nonsexual things and characters… 

All because you view it as sexual and then whenever someone criticizes you over it, you pull the “No one is taking away fanartist’s ability to be horny” or “listen to black women” or whatever other Woke ™ thing it is that has to be said today. It’s not even like y’all are even talking about fanartists… Y’all talking about official art being overly sexual. Y’all just bring up fanartists as some weird scapegoat as if fanartists made the official art and as if fanartists are the ones that are up in arms over the official art being too sexual or whatever. 

It also creates this weird sense of infantilization where the character is treated as if they’re a literal child with people saying “Don’t be horny on this character until we know they’re an adult!!”, “I’m uncomfortable with the amount of skin they’re showing auuuggg Nintendo stop being horny. :///”, “I made this character less sexual.” 

Like yeah, if you colour pick a darker shade from a 3D model,it looks a lot more drastic than if you compare this artwork to Nessa’s official 2D artwork.

Yes, the fanart is still noticeably lighter, but the difference between the two is way less drastic than the comparison that you illustrated using the 3D model.

And even still, it’s not just Nessa’s skin colour that’s lighter here, it’s the entire colour pallet. If you’re using a lighter colour pallet, you need to remain consistent with it, or else it won’t look right.

More than that, she and the Butterfly’s are probably responsible for a lot more deaths than just Glossryck and the MHC. I mean, anything or anyone made of magic is dead. The implications of that are pretty terrifying. There’s so many people who are like “no pronouns? must be nonbinary!” when that’s not at all how gender works, it just means their gender is unknown so they could be LITERALLY anything

There are plenty of people out there who might not be comfortable sharing their pronouns or gender and that doesn’t mean they MUST be nonbinary, and if I don’t know you I’m not gonna assume you MUST be nonbinary, so why in the everliving fuck do you take some random ass character and be like “oh they’re nb because there’s nothing confirming their gender/they look like it/I said so/etc”

And might I add, you’re doing this to robots, who 1) have no concept of gender because they’re inhuman and 2) saying all robots MUST be nb is kinda fishy…same thing with aliens, like you’re literally just saying “this creature is inhuman therefore they must be nb” which means you think nb people are inhuman :/ like christ I may not believe nb is a thing but I don’t go that far

I’ve already seen a certain blog (cough devsisphobic y’know the one with all the extremely cold takes who rants about every minor thing that has no correlation to whatever bullshit they’re spewing cough) say that Cyborg is nb and that’s bad because “they’re saying all robots are nb and Cyborg had a ‘monstrous transformation’ and is an ‘experiment’ and that isn’t good for trans representation”
