A while back I was thinking what Shatterframes and Splitscreens holoforms would look like. She learns how to use holoforms actually from Shatter when they are undercover. The whole background of him being an influencer and owning a 3d printing Etsy shop started out as a joke that my wonderful partner came up with but it fit too perfectly as to not use the idea. I think it also adds nuance to Shatters character. Anyway here is what we came up with:

FRAME‘D

As the random parts of scrap he scavenges from junkyards can only do so much and robbing new parts gets too risky after a couple of times, Shatterframe came up with an idea: While browsing the human internet in his downtime, he came across 3D printers. While not nearly as sophisticated as the Cybertronian equivalents, they nevertheless fascinated him and offered him a way to just create things he needs from scratch in both plastic and metal, rather than having to work with literal junk. Him going down the rabbit hole of 3D printing was also accelerated by his fascination with human ingenuity. He even went as far as lurking in human 3D printing communities on sites such as Reddit to further his skills and look for tips and recommendations.

After some time of creating things for himself, he had another idea: What if he sold the things he comes up with to humans as a way to get cash, that he can then use to buy high-quality parts for himself? As selling things directly to humans was not possible, he created an Etsy shop he called Frame’d that sells both parts premade by him as well as made-to-order items. While this shop originally started as a necessity for Shatter to earn money, he grows very proud of his business over time and actually has fun running it. This is something he would never admit to anyone, though. Him dealing with difficult customers and offering customer service as part of this is also one of the reasons he has surprisingly good people skills, if he decides to use them.

Down the line, he decided to expand his revenue stream further: After creating a holographic avatar, he started to create content on human platforms such as YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, in which he documents his business VLOG-style as a way to advertise it and also creates 3D-printing tutorials, in which he is a surprisingly good teacher, able to explain even complex things in a way that is easy to understand and follow.

Idea concept of „thrumming“

Shatter is pretty much held together with spite and ductape. So much ductape. He suffered severe damage and after stranding on earth he had to be creative in how he could fix himself. To the point his insides become some weird mix of unconventional bits and pieces that keep him running. He is no doctor by any means and his engineering knowledge only gets him so far so he is a walking hazard thats barely held together. As to not get caught by the humans he manages to infiltrate their society after building himself a Holoavatar and with it he starts a 3D printing business to be able to make better parts to upgrade himself. He becomes quite popular too and ends up becoming a sort of influencer advertising his business to further garner funds for better equipment.

When Splitscreen finds out about that she teases him relentlessly because of the sheer ridiculousness of it all with him being a former Decepticon. Shatter only scoffs at that, secretly proud of his achievements but he would never openly admit to this. Anyway him being basically made out of weird Lego bricks turns him into a bizarre medical marvel. He is able to avoid the med bays for some time until he gets worse enough that Splitscreen stops respecting his stance on trying to deal with it himself. Unable to understand why exactly Shatter is so avoidant of medical bays she looses her patience when he is quite literally falling apart in front of her. They argue and bicker until Splitscreen has enough and simply decides to drag Shatter to the med bay herself. It goes as bad as it could be as Splitscreen learns why Shatter is so averse when it comes to seeking medical help and the fragile bit of trust they built gets shattered. Shatter is unwilling to talk about the matter but the reaction he showed was enough for Splitscreen to refrain from further asking questions.

I made two new tf ocs for the sole purpose of putting them into ridiculous situations. No plot only shenanigans.

They are like the fucked up barbie dolls you had as a child. Utterly unhinged and full of issues but that’s what makes them fun. They are two silly idiots against the universe. One is a neurotic mess with anger issues the other has a weird oral fixation licking everything that isn’t running away fast enough. They don’t want each other, they NEED each other cause neither is competent enough to make it on their own.

HOW THEY MEET:

They met in a Prison cell both waiting to be smelted down as they had outrun their usefulness. Gust introduces himself with a terrible joke and Blunder instantly decides he hates this mech with a passion of a thousand suns. Not getting the memo Gust continues to chat away unbothered as if they weren’t currently awaiting their death which further infuriates Blunder. Thinking that he wouldn’t have to endure this mech for too long Blunder tries to make peace with his early demise but not known for being lucky or Primus just hating him personally they of course end up getting rescued when the autobots free the prisoners. Neither of them sticks around though to see what the autobots have in store for them so they end up running away and stealing a small transport vessel.

Bee was happy not to be the smallest bot for once but unfortunately for him it wouldn’t stay that way.
