Oh agreed! I’d argue Odin is also femme-coded and Loki (Mat’s other Norse inspo) is explicitly gender-fucky. Mat’s Norse cultural DNA is one source, but he also has other ones. I can’t find the @asha-mage post about Mat as a femme fatale but that’s the kind of thing I mean.
