12. The Finns don’t have fairytales about “dragons”… they tell stories about “salmon snakes” (Lohikäärme).

13. The Finns don’t say someone looks extremely happy… they say one “smiles like a sun in Naantali” (Hymyillä kuin Naantalin aurinko).

16. Angry Finns don’t say they will “kill you” …they offer to “take you behind the sauna” (Viedä saunan taakse).

17. The Finns don’t encourage you (or themselves) to “drink more”… they just say that “a drop won’t kill and you can’t drown in a bucket” (Ei tippa tapa eikä ämpäriin huku).

18. The Finns don’t think something is “very heavy”… they think it “weights like a sin” (Painaa kuin synti).

19. The Finns don’t say that “it’s water under the bridge”… they say “it’s snow of the past winter” (Menneen talven lumia).

Hello Tumblr! 

As you may or may not be aware, my name is Erika, and I run a (mostly) Dragon Age-Themed Etsy! 

Also, as you may or may not know, I’ve had kind of a rough year. Last December, my roommate and I were evicted from our apartment in the middle of a Wisconsin winter over a bunch of, ahem, “BS”. This led to quite a bit of rather expensive BS I had to deal with. 

Then, when all of that was just about wrapping up, I had some medical trouble and ended up spending a little more money that I would have liked(as in, any at all because I had none) on medication and such. And then I went into repayment on all my student loans.

Long story short: I’m broke. 

The good news is, I’m just about out of the woods. Within the next couple of months, I’ll probably have a new job and be making enough money to afford food again.

But a couple months from now is not now. And right now, I’m about $175 short on expenses for the month. 

So what I did this paycheck was spend a little money to finish up using all the necklace materials I had. Short of a miracle, this is going to be the last batch of necklaces I can afford to make unless that new job pans out. 

So I’m having a sale! 

I dropped all the prices on the remaining necklaces in stock, and to christen the new necklaces, I’m having a promo!
