[Hello, Animorphs!Dr House anon again. Here's some more plot bunnies that I love to see expanded or disagreed upon by anyone else interested!]
Maybe Cuddy has been a Controller all this time?
As for possible battle morphs for the diagnostic team:
Dr House himself is canonically lethal with his walking cane. Now imagine he can have four canes at a time, all attached to half a ton of muscle, wielded by his surgical precision and animal instincts of constant wrath to anything and everything. The poetic irony of the Yeerks hearing hoofbeats and WISHED it was horses is too good to pass up. No, it's the infamous bandit in ZEBRA MORPH breaking many a Hork Bajir blades and human ribcages.
Cameron couldn't bare to cause such harm to people trapped within their own heads. She refused to acquire anything more dangerous than a bird, to work as a doctor more and more to make up for the necessary bloodshed. To argue against the unethical audacity from the team and Alan to the point her eyes grew red from exhaustion. Until a fated meeting in morph against Visser One... infesting the husband she thought she lost to cancer. After their narrow escape, she takes part in the missions fully. Acquiring a leopard morph, the predator perfect to hold down controllers and suffocate them in jaws to get the Yeerk out with minimal harm.
Chase... cassowary. Because Australian.
Foreman wants the fights to end fast so he wants something to hit fast. And hard. He acquired a grizzly bear.
Wilson, similarly to Cameron, couldn't bring himself to attack so ruthlessly even with the pressure of the world over them all. He hopes with all his heart that, god forbid, House doesn't lose track of his humanity and becoming a nothlit. He hopes Cuddy's Yeerk will never find out the fight against the invasion right under the hospital roof. He hopes his work as an oncologist is enough to outweigh the blood growing over all their hands. He eventually relies on his anaconda morph. Being out of commission of fights to focus on one controller at a time, to trap them and force Yeerks out of the ears through strangulation is just fine for him.
The diagnostic menagerie around the feared Elfangor have just enough of an advantage for the hospital to not get overwhelmed by Yeerks and their Blade ship beams. Even then, who knows how much time they have left until Elfangor's impromptu call for reinforcements will be answered? Any new mission or intel can make or break Princeton, then Earth.
Some more details:
Crows as flying morphs, perhaps? Something more conspicuous in the city. Insect morphs too are essential, but they better watch out for the clinical cleaning!
Would any of the doctors look to morphing more as a vice? To House, what would be more tempting for pain relief? The Vicodin or the time in morph?
No idea how Thirteen, Taub, Kutner etc. will fall into this. Anyone have ideas?
Will Elfangor take some of the diagnostic team across the continent and to the ocean to rescue Ax? Or all of the team?
How will the team balance their work/Animorph life before dying from sleep deprivation?
.
Cassowary and Anaconda mentioned!!
