Food resources are almost over. You've realised nobody is there by day 5. You go and hijack grocery stores to your heart's content. But even there, it isn't safe.

All the fresh produce and meats have rotten, giving off an ungodly stench in every corner of the store. You are now reduced to hunting for imperishable foods.

Your water supply will run, but only for a while. Soon your toilet won't flush and your taps won't open. You have to go fetch water from that pay and use filter in your locality, just so you can take a piss. And if there isn't a pay-and-use in your locality? Too bad.

Soon, your water runs out and so does the food. You have to relocate. The only things you can take are imperishables with little to no nutritional value.

Your vehicle needs fuel, but there's nobody at the gas station. Now you're on foot, dehydrated and miserable.

The very next stop has a running water source. Yay, for now. But whatever, you can't drink it like that, it'll have a whole museum of bacteria waiting to invade. So you want to boil the water. By some miracle you are able to do so, and are now a Little hydrated. You still have to rely on your nutrient deprived food, though.

Your clothes are torn. You go into a clothing shop and grab a set. You almost forget that they have those digital alarm tags. Luckily, you know how to remove them.

You think about grabbing someone else's vehicle And try to go into a house. It's locked. All of them are locked. You manage to break in through a window, grab the keys and get out safely.

You find the vehicle, and it has little fuel left. You take a pack of bottled water, grab some more nutrient deprive imperishables, ready to relocate again.

the intro

the theory of being the last human in an abandoned world is a very, almost over, used idea in the world of fiction. This has long served as a base for many fictional works. It is both a dream, and a nightmare.

Today, I shall grace you with a slightly biased scenario of this sci-fi model.

Fair warning, this does not affect animals in any way (author love em too much)

The dream

Think about it.

It's a random monday morning. You wake up, and you do your usual Monday toothbrushing and hurry to get to your destination when you suddenly realised, your house is completely silent. No, scratch that, you entire street is silent.

For extroverted people, this immediately brings forth a sense of mild panic, if you will. For the introverts, of course, it seems like pure bliss. And the ambiverts are far too busy deciding what to wear.

You go out of your room, expecting your family member, partner or pet to greet you. There's nobody. A chilling silence. Your pet greets you, unless it's a fish. The oven is on, and its contents are smoking slightly. You rush and turn it off in time, proceeding to yell out the name of the other human resident in your house. You get no response. You simply believe they forgot, are asleep, or went out.

You are in a hurry to get to your destination. You head outside with your keys, only to find your vehicle is on an empty tank. Ah, a problem. You choose to walk and refill it later. The walk is peaceful save for the silence.

Your neighbour's kids aren't playing. You wonder if they're off to school early. Your other neighbour's dogs are barking though. A third neighbour is not in their garden, which is unusual since they're a botanist with a full greenhouse and an obsession.

For now, you think it is mere coincidence, that something lined up somewhere to give you this peaceful silence, and you move along the route of your destination.

Here's my take on chainsaw man.

-no offense intended-

The song Akuma No Ko - Ai Higuchi should be the next opening. Here's a list of reasons why -

It has the title and lyrics of "akuma no ko" which means "child of devil". Denji is a *child*. He is also chainsaw man, having a contract with the chainsaw *devil* . This makes the lyrics make sense

It has the lyrics "sekai wa zankoku da" which means "the world is cruel." And we see that statement made clear throughout the chainsaw man series

"Boku wa dame de aitsu wa ii no" - "am I not good enough and is he better?". Statement resonates with denji's words that girls want chainsaw man's heart but not his.

"tadatada ikiru no wa iya da". "I don't want to _just_ live." This lyric highlights the absence of normalcy in denji's life. He's always thrown into the blender called adventure, even if he doesn't want to. It's more of an irony, but it somehow makes sense.

"eranda hito no kage, suteta mono no shikabane" - "the shadows of those who were chosen, the corpses of those discarded." This statement describes very precisely what is going on in CSM - a giant puppet show. Those who are deemed unnecessary are always dying. Those who are chosen (denji ig) are forced to live in the "shadow" of guilt they get from witnessing the deaths of their companions.

"seigi no ura, gisei no naka, kokoro ni wo akuma no ko" - "behind righteousness, and surrounded by sacrifice, in my heart is a child of evil." This statment refers to the sheer irony of denji's life. He is constantly fighting devils to protect people and whatnot. Denji has seen endless people live and die, and he's had to lose so many friends. But beneath all that, it's undeniable that he's also tied to a devil, the very thing he's supposed to fight.
