For years I was convinced that I was either hallucinating or had hearing damage, because electronics always made this high-pitched whine that was closer to being felt than heard, and nobody else knew what I was talking about. Then I met other autistic people.

Always always always! It was worse when there were those big TV monitors all around instead of flatscreens, but fridges and shit, always.

the first tine i went under i was ~14? i had a some kind of weird reaction to the anesthesia they used at first so they had to mix a new cocktail for me on the spot. i guess i was touch and go for a bit in post-op but eventually i woke up and saw Dr. Doofinsmirtz on the tv and said “HEY!! No WwAY that guy is here? I know that guy!!”
