Commander Fox X GN!Reader random thoughts

A/N: Hi! I've never written for Fox before so I hope this is okay and scratches that Fox itch! I'm hoping more people request him because it would be fantastic to write more of him! Although I wish he got some more positive screen time :(
Despite Fox's cocky and firm personality, he has a big soft spot for you when you wear down his walls and rub off that thick layer of stress he's always walking around and carrying. All it takes is a little bit of tender love and care and maybe a cup of coffee.
Once he's more relaxed, he LOVES a good cuddle session. He'll spoon you or have you lay against his chest, but if he was a little less stubborn, he would love if you would spoon him or run your fingers through his hair and scratch his scalp. He's just so tense all the time that being able to relax in your arms without expectation of giving anything back is so appealing to him.
During guard rotation, if you work in the senate building or nearby, he'll make any effort to go out of his way and risk seeing you for just a moment before returning to his duties. Even if its just a quick glance, its enough for him to gain motivation to get through the day. Its like a teaser for what he'll get to see later that night when he goes home to you. If you work elsewhere, he'll send a quick comm saying that he's thinking about you or he can't wait to see you later.
Fox struggles to express how he's feeling, so most of the time whenever he's stressed or wanting to talk about it with you, he'll probably just pull you into his chest and rest his head against you. But that's only within the privacy of your home or somewhere private. If he has a moment to see you while he's on duty, he'll likely just graze his hand against yours
He knows that being with you isn't necessarily against anything, but he is also loyal to his men and his duty to the Republic, so he's pretty quiet about his relationship with you and will be as discreet as possibly when seeing you while his men are around. But he'll always make it up to you later by bringing you gifts or buying you your favorite snacks, etc.
He likes to feed you any new foods he's trying just to see if you react poorly to it. If you don't like it, he probably won't buy it again, but if you do, he'll frequent the place just for that food because it makes him think of you and your pleased expression.
Fox will intentionally leave his helmet out at your house just to sneak a peek at you wearing it when you thought he wasn't looking. He thinks it's so cute whenever you're curious about his job or his armor and it makes him proud to be a Coruscant Guard.
He loves when you kiss his injuries and bruises, and to the return the favor, he'll do the same for you even if its just a paper cut or a bruise from bumping your knee. He also likes to kiss any beauty marks or freckles, appreciating your unique features.
As much as Fox appreciates and honors the sacrificing made by the clones off world who are fighting the tough frontline battles, he is so grateful that he's on Coruscant where he can see you just about every night give or take a few days. And he shows that by worshipping you as much as possible, taking you on dates and spending every free moment that he can with you. He needs you to know how much you mean to him.
