In response to the finding of “Earth 2.0″, another planet in the Goldilocks zone besides Earth, this is my favorite response: let’s invade it! The Goldilocks zone lists planets that are in the habitable zone, being the “just right” distance from their sun. Should a planet be in this zone, they also house the possibility of harboring the fundamental building blocks of organic life. Kepler-452b and its star are a bit older than our own Earth, giving an interesting look at how a planet of Earth’s comparable attributes evolves over time.

The beautiful looming moon 🌙
Saturn, Jupiter, and our moon. Visibility was somewhat limited because of the layer of haze we had, but that haze also acted as a natural filter for the typically excessively bright Jupiter. Taken with my note III.
Favorite phase, hands down...crater details near the shadows are just breathtaking. Taken, as usual, with my Samsung Galaxy Note III...

What kind of camera do you use for your astrophotography?
Hello!I actually just use my phone, a Samsung Note III. It takes some fantastic images for amateur astrophotography, but just requires some getting used to. If I had a 10″ telescope or larger, I would probably invest in a good DSLR. No need yet! :)
