Saturn, Rings, and Two Moons - January 18th, 1998.
"NASA's robot spacecraft Voyager 2 made this image of Saturn as it began to explore the Saturn system in 1981. Saturn's famous rings are visible along with two of its moons, Rhea and Dione, which appear as faint dots on the right and lower right part of the picture. Astronomers believe that Saturn's moons play a fundamental role in sculpting its elaborate ring system. A robot spacecraft named Cassini was launched in October, 1997, and was expected to rendezvous with the giant gas planet in 2004."

Upsides of making Ouranos Aphrodite's father:
Cooler, makes her the daughter of a primordial god (maybe two if you count Thalassa or Hemera as her mother), "The Olympians: Kids of Cronos, kids of Zeus and Aphrodite", it's funny, Aphrodite would NOT BE ZEUS CHILD, sea birth, chilling in the sea while titanomarchy is happening, makes her the oldest olympian, "what was she doing during the titanomarchy???", Nerites as her childhood friend, Aphros n Bythos as her cool uncles/foster dads, just overall cooler, did I mentioned that she wouldn't be Zeus' daughter?
Upsides of making Zeus Aphrodite's father:
Dione
(I am biased)
Ngl I may be showing my old art but it’ll save me time if I explain it with stuff I’ve already doodled!
For Dione, she’s a hella grey-blue kinda moon (so grey like many moons) so I thought I’d give her some crazy/not too crazy patterns like a dash of fire on her crop-top sweater as well as some kickass sweatpants to go with it. It brings out her badass and ‘I’m Dione, I don’t give a damn to anyone but me’ vibe. Colors are one thing but the type of clothes are another matter especially when one’s drawing a moon!
We just gotta find a personality/vibe for each and every fella/fellow and THEN colors can go!
So Dione has a bold dark color to go with some desaturated greys and whites to make her stand out!

As for Europa, I also see her as a girlboss (as does the many female characters cuz OUGH I LAUV them <3) so I thought of her wearing business-casual outfits that’s skin-toned/pale-warm pastels) to go along with her bright surface/head that also happens to be a bit more saturated. I want people to focus on her expressions so the colors and brightness of her surface will be the first to catch a person’s attention.
I’m a kinda mug that sees an equal mix of color and clothing on a character because it’s an awesome way to tell a character’s personality! I mean, check out my Io! He’s just a wacky with gnarly patterns! I based his sweater after my ACTUAL sweater when designing him! The yellow and whites brings out his shining personality and the black goes with it as accents (if that makes sense LOL) and his fluffy hood signifies his coughing plumes/ actual volcanic plumes AND it just gives him a bit more character with it!
So yeah! That’s my perspective with the thang you’re curious about @dreamie-artsss!
I do hope that’s helpful!
