“@philipposole @AtlusUSA I'm not surprised. Did You know, they even did this: At the Atlus exhibition, all the Kaneko art was not written in his name ,( standard practice is author.material.age.)This means that other than his fans, people don't even know who the paintings came from.”
This furor over an Atlus USA tweet about Catherine: Full Body’s jukebox (they removed all the SMT/non-Persona music–was this the case in the JP version?) is worth a look, but I wanted to bring special attention to the tweets of @yamaneko2014923, who has some interesting things to say about Kaneko’s status at Atlus (many more as replies). Besides the above about his art being uncredited at the Atlus exhibition at Sega FES this year, there’s this, something I hadn’t noticed before:

The above looks like it’s from the original printing of Kaneko Works III, the latter from one of the recently published/reprinted volumes. Can confirm Kaneko’s copyright is absent on the recent ones. So, seems the man has no say over his art anymore.
I love getting perspective from the Japanese fanbase, so here’s also a couple other interesting tweets:
