Last post, I was indirectly involved in a scam case that my brother got roped in (I was surprised on how easy it was, the marketplace looked so ... empty. Even jeff bezos amazon hellscape felt more bustling that THAT, that website's fucking liminal space condensed in a HTML format) ,

my brother got reprimanded to report to the authorities, sadly all we got was just opinions and feedbacks for said matters, and no compensation or pursuing the case. The criminal website's still up around. The reason why it felt so real to my brother was that he received """"order"""" and """"payments"""" (most seemed to be super fake) and then, his """""""""money"""""" on his wallet was held as a ransom.

So yeah, my 1.3 million IDR, gone like that zzzz, I was gonna go on a commission break and work on Karuma project, only for me to be FORCED TO WORK AGAIN, my body hurts like hell and my carpal tunnel starting to ache again. My brother did said he wanna return my money, but he can only return 300k, and he must desperately sell something on more legit online shop to get the 1 million to return to me again. But idk ..... He doesn't technically make much enough.

Moral of the story for me, maybe it isn't wrong for me to be a miserly uncle scrooge, especially lending money to someone who's desperate and begging might spell a disaster if you don't know where the money goes into. I wish I've said NO when the money's starts to go out too much, and ignoring my brother's plea/begging/panicking. Like shit, I thought it was a paylater/other legit online shop dilemma, not a blatant fake onlineshopslop

So I'm in a state of pickle, losing 1 million. All I wanted to do is help my brother because he set up a shop in this stupid pink bastard of a website (who doesn't appear on google search too! double scummy). His e-wallet was held as a ransom under the guise of "pay registration fee to get the money", and he borrowed over a million (1.310.000 rupiah to be exact) from me.

But it was for naught, because it's a scam and the web purposefully engineered to break down (seriously what kind of message demands 300k money?!) He just told me about this web right after I paid over 1 million to help him so I didn't know, just because I wanted to help my brother who loses his e wallet, I lost a great chunk of money too.

Idk if there's anything could be done, esp. in a country with shitty online regulations such as mine. Also when I tried to bring this case to facebook (with a lot of ID users, that blasted zucc web breaks down. It just felt like a strange coincidence... along with internet archive being down.)

well very good news, apparently the home I live in (that was going to be sold) wasn't gonna be sold, after all. The buyers backed out, maybe due to the decrepit condition of the house, the weakening currencies, the riots, the dramas, or all of em' in one. Scares them from buying the land, so I won't move out... yet.

My sibling with her own nuclear family still tried to move out in the future though, so I had to quickly find a stable job since they're the main breadwinners (and I mostly pay secondary bills with my comms money) but before they'll step out, I was planning to finish all of my (startup) life project that was abandoned for years due to monetary reasons
