Lionblaze...just shut up. Kindly STFU.
One of my nieces is 9 years old. She’s struggled with reading since the beginning. Recently, after going to a lot of specialists, she was diagnosed with dyslexia. She’s hated reading for years. She’d rather crawl under the table than look at a book.
She recently devoured The Prophecies Begin arc of Warrior Cats in under two weeks.
She begged for more.
I gave her more books. My sister is stunned at her daughter’s transformation.
This is the power of Warrior Cats.
Just thought I’d share.
I’ve converted my nieces, ages 7 and 9, to Warrior Cats fanatics.
My life’s purpose is complete. I’m out. *drops mic*
Trying to explain Warrior Cats to a friend outside the fandom:
okay but:Â Leafpool is supposedly bi even though I could've sworn she was a lesbian in love with Mothwing of RiverClan, because Leafpool had kittens with Crowfeather (a WindClan enemy cat) but Leafpool couldn't keep her kittens because she was a medicine cat and Clans have Stupid Rules. So Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, and Lionblaze grew up believing Squirrelflight, Leafpool's sister, was their real mother.Â
Until the fire, when Ashfur tried to kill them all because he is an Incel.Â
Then Hollyleaf killed Ashfur.Â
Then Hollyleaf tried to kill Leafpool for lying to everyone and Breaking the Code(s), but she backed away because of Leafpool's angsty "Would it be worse for me to die or to live with my mistakes?" speech and then Hollyleaf, overcome with emotion, ran into the tunnels. The tunnels collapsed on her and everyone thought she was dead. She came back 5 books or so later, miraculously alive, only to Truly Die this Time by saving Ivypool in the Battle with the Dark Forest, full of evil dead cats who wanted revenge on the living Clan cats.Â
Eventually Leafpool died in a rockslide and reconciled with Hollyleaf in StarClan, or cat heaven. Squirrelflight almost died, too, but was able to get back to her body and live. Squirrelflight saw Ashfur in StarClan was like, WTF, how did HE end up here when he's such an evil son of a bitch? And Hollyleaf is all, "Well, he apologized." So THAT'S a great message.Â
And then Ashfur came back to the living Clans and possessed Bramblestar, Squirrelflight's mate, because he always wanted to be with her, which is, you know, extra levels of creepy. And then Ashfur had the nerve to throw poor SHADOWSIGHT into the ravine and leave him for dead -- along with, you know, messing with all the spirits around the lake. And just being an overall evil dude who should’ve gotten just punishment the first time around. Alas, hindsight.
Meanwhile Leafpool, Hollyleaf, Firestar, and all the other dead StarClan cats are wondering WTF is going on in the real world by the lake. (Firestar is Leafpool and Squirrelflight’s dad. I guess I should give an honorable mention to their mother, Sandstorm.) Also Ashfur-as-Bramblestar drags Squirrelflight into the Dark Forest. Dun dun dunnn.

In 2021 we’ll have more official Shadowsight content and I am here for it
There should be a warrior named Hedgehogflight, in honor of all the times cats say, “When hedgehogs fly...”
Hedgehogflight should have abilities to do amazing things that are considered otherwise impossible.
Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
Bramblestar: I am a walking corpse.
Mistystar: I invented that trick at least three series ago.
Lionblaze: I wish Hollyleaf was here...
Bristlefrost: Why?
Lionblaze: She was really good at killing Ashfur.

So you’re telling me...basically ALL THE CLANS were right outside ShadowClan’s camp waiting for the leaders and deputies to kill Ashfur...
...and Ashfur escaped through the dirtplace tunnel and MIRACULOUSLY AVOIDED over, like, a hundred cats in the immediate vicinity...to get to the Moonpool.
NOT ONE OF THOSE WAITING CATS saw/scented/heard him?
Especially because, even if we didn’t see it in the book, Lionblaze and the others would have immediately raised the alarm of Ashfur’s escape (after yelling at Shadowsight)? Again, ALL THE CLANS WERE //RIGHT THERE//
And Ashfur escaped anyway.
if tigerstar and dovewing don't have a Talk with shadowsight in the next book i'll RIOT

“Rootspring’s heart ached for Shadowsight. They’d become close over the past few moons.”
—warriors: the broken code: darkness within, chapter 6
I love how Spot-”I would have loved Stemleaf just the same if he’d been in another Clan”-fur is keeping her rebellious spirit. That’s right, girl. Break the Code.
Rootspring: Needleclaw, I got over Bristlefrost. There's someone new.
Needleclaw: Good! I'm so proud of--
Rootspring: It's Shadowsight.
Needleclaw: *bangs head on tree*

what makes me angry is; tigerheartstar literally found out the imposter tried to kill shadowsight; got really angry about it and then decided to force his son to heal the cat that tricked him; and tried to murder him… wtf tigerheartstar????

I’m genuinely confused about the idea of Shadowsight receiving his name too early.
In Lost Stars, his littermates are already warriors while he’s still Shadowpaw. So he’s been an apprentice probably around 6 moons with his littermates (the “typical” time it takes for apprentices to become warriors) and then the moon(s) occurring in Lost Stars until he receives his name in The Silent Thaw. It reminds me of how how Jayfeather received his medicine cat name not too long after Lionblaze and Hollyleaf received THEIR warrior names.
Puddleshine had TWO moons of training.
Shadowsight had...seven or eight moons of training? (Not to mention all his visions and traveling experience from when he was a kit, which gave him an edge and a wider perspective to begin training.)
Also Shadowsight seems to know his herbs and treatments. He displayed reasoning every time Mothwing “corrected” him. I honestly don’t know how Puddleshine seemed to lose faith in Shadowsight’s medicine cat abilities? Unless Mothwing bullied Puddleshine into “having concerns”?
I don’t know. The whole argument seemed really far-fetched to me. And there’s nothing that says medicine cats stop learning after they receive their full names anyway. They SHOULD keep learning. Making a big deal about taking away Shadowsight’s medicine cat status didn’t need to happen, especially when nobody actually helps him grow as a medicine cat in the meantime anyway.
I’m genuinely curious if there’s proof that explains why Shadowsight “received his name too early.” He seems to have trained long and hard for it.
