“The way grief needs oxygen. The way every once in a while, it catches the light and starts smoking. The way my grief will die with me. The way it will cleave and grow like antlers.”

edits: deities of Egyptian myth (5/?)
Anubis was the god of embalming and a protector of the dead in Egyptian mythology, he also oversaw the weighing scale during the “Weighing of the Heart”, in which it was determined wether a soul would be allowed to enter the realm of the dead.
Kissing God Goodbye: Poems 1991-1997; ‘Intifada Incantation: Poem #8 For b.b.L’ by June Jordan
Hi, hello!
I have recently reactivated this and wanted to take a second to say hello and introduce myself as that Sekhmet drawing got a bit of traction.
I'm Max, owner of Born Rotten Art, artist, tattooist, occultist, taxidermist and a magpie stuck in a humanoid body.
Hail Sekhmet, soaked in gore, our beloved lady of plagues. Bit of an experiment on toned paper and I think I like it! Shes 6x9" and was done in ink, white pen and posca marker.
Shes for sale for $75

Sekhmet sketch
Statue of the goddess SEKHMET (Thebes, 1964) [X]
Sekhmet inspired pro-protest doodle. Be ready to help, friends. We've got miles to go before we sleep.
Here is the design for the gold foil postcard! It is a collab project by me and @kaizuart (I did the lines and she colored the piece!)
The solid gold sections like the heart and the swirls will be done with gold foil! It will measure 6 x 9 inches and be printed on heavy cardstock.
This Postcard will only be available to those who at the 4 pins tier or more!
PLEDGE HERE!
